While the BMW i8 gets an upgrade, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has revealed that a series of BMW’s M3 and M4 cars have a slip joint in the driveshaft hasn’t been filled with grease. This has caused a recall of 42 cars. Among these are 2015-2016 M3 Sedans that were manufactured between May 30 and September 2nd of this year; 2016 M4 coupes made between July 3 and September 11 and M4 convertibles made between May 29 and August 4.
The BMW M3 and M4 Empty Slip Joint Is Likely To Fail
BMW is encouraging all car owners that fit these dates to take their cars take them out of the road as soon as physically possible. No injuries have been reported related to the fault. BMW will start officially recalling the cars to dealerships on January 8, 2016. Technicians will take a look at the cars and replace slip joints as necessary at no cost to the drivers.

In a bizarre turn of events, Rinspeed has added a drone to one of the most elegant and luxurious cars in BMW’s lineup. The BMW i8, which comes with 357 horsepower and a 1.7kWh lithium-ion battery surely wasn’t enough for Rinspeed, nor was its 1.5L 3-cylinder engine. So they decided to take it to the next level.
The new model is called the Σtos, and it’s completely based off of BMW’s i8. The model will make its debut at the Consumer Electronics show in a few weeks, and it features a built-in drone. The DJI Inspire One drone sits in the back of the car for absolutely no reason.

The Σtos has a retractable steering wheel and two 21.5″ curved ultra HD screens. The necessity of the screens isn’t specified either, but it will likely be revealed once the car is unveiled.
