Today, I would like to look at three video games that are among the most popular in the world right now. Now, popularity does not always mean that a game is good. Black Ops 3, Fallout 4, and Star Wars Battlefront are all games that have a pretty large fanbase. Let’s take a look at what the overall consensus is on these games as well as Call of Duty’s newest patch.
BLACK OPS 3 NEW PATCH RELEASED
Before we get started and look at these three games, Treyarch recently released a patch for Black Ops 3 that needs to be mentioned. This patch will provide players with more weapons. These weapons will be able to be unlocked from the Black Market. The new weapons available will be brass knuckles, a wrench, and a butterfly knife. Saving custom game settings can now be done as well as new emblems and higher levels in Prestige. Also, the Nightmare campaign mode can now be accessed from the start.
BLACK OPS 3 OVERALL CONSENSUS
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the latest entry in the Call of Duty series and it is a military first person shooter. It was released just over a month ago and has already received many reviews. Overall, many companies and gamers have given this game a positive review. One complaint that has surfaced around the web is that Black Ops 3 does not add anything remarkable, but is just another fun COD game. However, the game was nominated for Best Shooter of the Year but ultimately did not win. Overall, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 offers some really fun gameplay, especially co-op, but will not blow you away.
STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT OVERALL CONSENSUS
Battlefront is an action shooting video game. This game was also released last month and has seen some criticisms. The gameplay overall has been well received with great gunplay. However, two big criticisms are apparent. One is Walker Assault mode, as it is nearly impossible to win the mode as a Rebel. The big one though is the lack of a single-player campaign mode. How EA did not include this is startling. The multiplayer is a blast to play, but the lack of this single player mode really hurts the game. Play Battlefront with a friend, but think twice about playing it by yourself.
FALLOUT 4 OVERALL CONSENSUS
Bethesda released their fourth entry into the Fallout series last month as well. Fallout 4 is an open world action role-playing video game. Fallout 4 has received a great amount of praise since its release. The amount of content in the game is great along with the freedom that the game gives you. Exploring the world of Fallout 4 is very fun to do and that is extremely important in an open world video game. The visuals are not as good as some games, but that is not an enormous deal. Fallout 4 was also nominated for the Game of the Year award earlier this year. It did not win, but it was certainly one of the best games of the year.
BLACK OPS 3, FALLOUT 4, OR BATTLEFRONT?
So, which one of these games is the best? I would have to say Fallout 4 is the best among these games. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is just more of the same and Battlefront lacks the very important single-player campaign. Fallout 4 has the least issues and is the most fun to play. That is probably the most important aspect to a video game.
