World of Warcraft: Legion to Allow Level-100 Characters to be Tested - http://clapway.com/2015/11/18/world-warcraft-legion-allow-level-100-characters-tested/

Fans of World of Warcraft rejoice, level-100 characters may soon be allowed to be tested before using them. Blizzard Entertainment, the brains behind World of Warcraft, have announced that World of Warcraft: Legion will launch next summer and now with this news it should be even more anticipated.

THE REASONING BEHIND THIS

World of Warcraft is a MMORPG, which is a mass media online role-playing game. This genre of video game allows gamers to constantly upgrade their playable characters as they go through their adventure. Leveling up characters can be a mind numbing process as it can take a long time to do so, and leveling characters to 100 takes forever. Basically, the senior vice president of World of Warcraft, J. Allen Brack, stated that this decision was to allow users to test certain level-100 characters. In World of Warcraft there are several different types of characters that can be used. This will now allow users to be able to play with their certain character type at level-100 and see if they like it before they spend countless hours leveling them up. Brack also mentioned that users will be allowed 45 minutes of content to play through with the level-100 character and that their would be a warning message afterwards prompting the user that they are about ready to officially commit to their character.

ISSUES WITH THIS

Sources across the web have came up with several problems that would need to be addressed before World of Warcraft: Legion launches next summer. The major problems that are being talked about across the web are: How to determine when a user is done to prompt them with whether to proceed or not. What to do when a user says no and deletes their character, but then changes their mind. How to handle all the experienced players who have already pre-purchased Legion and used their level-100 character boost and equipping those characters with something other than the Legion starting gear. All of these are legitimate questions that Blizzard will need to keep in mind when they start doing the work, as Brack has stated that they have not officially started the work yet. Brack also stated that this option can be turned off if users do not want the additional help. It sounds like this is just in the development stage as we speak, so World of Warcraft fans just need to remain as patient as they can for now.

Overwatch, Blizzard’s Newest Game, Coming to PS4 and Xbox One - http://clapway.com/2015/11/08/overwatch-blizzards-newest-game-coming-ps4-xbox-one

Blizzard presented a promotional banner on their official website that alluded to Overwatch being released in the summer of 2016 on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is rare for a Blizzard produced game to be released on anything but a PC because they are usually exclusive to PC.

WHAT IS OVERWATCH?

According to Blizzard, Overwatch will be a multi-player first person shooter and in the current era of video games another first person shooter is no surprise. It is said that Overwatch, or Overwatch Origins Edition, will come with 21 playable heroes and five different skins. Blizzard also mentioned that a huge emphasis is being put on cooperative gameplay using the cast of different heroes who will all have their own unique abilities and roles within the team. Although there has been no official news of it yet, it can be assumed that this game will also put a great deal of emphasis on online play. This is not a guarantee, but in this current era of video games it would be completely mind blowing to not see a game have a detailed online system. Fans of the FPS, first person shooter, genre that want to play a FPS with more of an emphasis on multi-player should be excited and thrilled when this game finally launches.

WHEN IS THIS GAME AVAILABLE?

As mentioned earlier, it was reported that a banner on Blizzard’s official website hinted that this game would be released in the summer of 2016. That banner has reportedly now been taken down, but reports across the web have still indicated a release of this game within the first two quarters of 2016. However, it should be noted that game companies sometimes push their games back if they feel more work needs to be done. Fortunately as we speak this estimated time is still accurate. According to retailers in the United States, it has been noted that Overwatch will be released at a retail price of $60. That is usually around the price that games launch for nowadays. Blizzard will most likely provide more details in the coming months about Overwatch to get their fans even more excited. The good thing for fans of the PS4 and Xbox One is Blizzard is finally releasing a game with a good amount of hype on their systems. That is something that did not happen very much, if at all, in the past.

In the new StarCraft (StartCraft 2 Legacy of the Void), gamers will play Hierarch Artanis, the leader of the protoss race. After the fall of Aiur at the hands of the Swarm, Artanis has raised a fleet of warships called the Golden Armada, and it is time for Aiur to be reclaimed. Gamers will be faced with Amon, the main threat to the entire galaxy. The game comes with multiplayer features, including co-op missions, automated tournaments and archon mode, a two player single base control feature.

The game will roll out as of November 10th for Windows and OS, but players can play a prologue campaign, where players join Zeratul on three missions to unravel the final piece of the Xel’naga prophecy. Excitement for the game is high and tense, as Blizzard has brought in graphics that have seen a tremendous upgrade, and this final installment of the series is sure to make fans proud and bring in new ones.

What do you think of #Blizzard"s #WorldofWarcraft update? - http://clapway.com/2015/08/06/can-blizzards-newest-expansion-save-wow-525/

After reporting some incredibly disheartening subscription numbers on August 4, Blizzard has taken the stage today at Gamescom to annou119nce their upcoming expansion pack for World of Warcraft (WoW), the decade-long running massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG).

Introducing World of Warcraft: Legion

WoW’s last expansion, Warlords of Draenor, used time travel to lure players through an alternate timeline, and Legion appears to be what is essentially the same thing but involving the Burning Crusade.

As expected with every WoW expansion, there are a few givens:

The Broken Isles – the newest continent for players to explore

Artifacts – the new “system” that allows players to customize weapons; letting them grow in power as players level up.

New World Bosses

Reworked PvP

Improved transmogrification system

Improved social features

New class-specific Order Halls and followers

New dungeons and raids

Perhaps the biggest change to the game is the introduction of the Demon Hunter, which is a new playable hero class (sounds familiar, doesn’t it?).

Can Blizzard

The Demon Hunter

Blizzard fans will immediately want to start making comparisons to the Demon Hunter class in Diablo III, but they should stop there. The Demon Hunter class in WoW is similar in name alone. Blizzard describes the class as an “elven outcast” who was shunned for harnessing the power of the Legion, but they look like smaller versions of Illidan Stormrage.

Demon Hunters have the ability to double-jump, perform gliding attacks, see with “magically augmented sight, metamorph into fel forms, and, well, that’s about all we know so far.

World of Warcraft Subscribers Down to 5.6 Million

During Blizzard’s Q2 earnings call for 2015, the company mentioned that subscriptions had fallen to just 5.6 million — down from the 7.1 million subscribers reported in Q1. Some of the biggest complaints coming from players revolves around reliance on uninteresting raids, a broken PvP system, and too much focus on repeatable content.

Looking through the highlight reel from today’s announcement didn’t instill a sense of confidence in a lot of gamers. The ability to play as a demon hunter is pure fan service, replacing garrisons with class orders doesn’t seem to change the focus, and Blizzard was quiet on details revolving around how they were planning to revamp WoW’s broken PvP system.

Blizzard really needed to shift WoW in a different direction, but Legion sounds like it’s more of the same, though that still remains to be seen.

Let us know how you feel about WoW’s newest expansion in the comments below.

In case you"re a person of #extremes and #courage and happen to be a little too #hot... - http://clapway.com/2015/07/22/5-ways-to-freeze-to-death/

Freezing weather is no joke (though in the heat of the summer, definitely a welcome joke)! More people die from freezing each year than you would think. There are multiple ways that you could freeze to death, but the most common way is sleeping outside over night in freezing temperatures (this usually happens to homeless people.) However, there are other ways this can happen to you if you aren’t careful:

5 Ways to Freeze to Death --

1. Locked in a freezer – people who work in restaurants can sometimes get stuck in them, especially when the door’s latch is broken.

2. Getting lost in the mountains – if you’re hiking in the fall or winter months, and you end up getting lost, unfortunately you’re probably going to freeze to death. Ever heard of the Donner Party?

3. Getting stuck in your car in a blizzard – if you’re driving in terrible weather and you happen to take a turn to quickly and wreck, it’s very likely you’ll be stuck there long enough to freeze to death before someone finds you.

4. Falling into a frozen lake – If you’re out fishing on a frozen lake and fall in, without someone around to help you out, you’re probably going to freeze to death.

5. Sitting in ice until you freeze to death – If you’re smart enough to accept a challenge like this from your friends, it’s likely that you could get hypothermia and freeze to death (if you sit in the ice long enough.)

Don’t let these things happen to you. Be safe and don’t go hiking in the winter. Be smart and don’t try and drive during a blizzard. Don’t go ice fishing alone, and don’t listen to your drunken friends who think it’d be funny for you to sit in ice until you sober up.

If you’re trying to lose weight with cold temperatures, use this instead of the above methods:
