Without a doubt, one of the greatest mysteries that the world wants to know is whether or not there was/is life on Mars. Not only this but if we can eventually get life on Mars. Well, NASA’s Rover Curiosity gives the world some spirit that perhaps the opportunity of achieving this is possible.

NASA ROVER CURIOSITY EXPLORING MARS

Curiosity has been exploring Mars for quite a while now. As a matter of fact, it has been since 2012. Just recently, a photo was surfaced on the web from this rover and it reveals sand? OK, so looking at a picture of sand is not the most glamorous picture to look at. However, when it is realized that the picture is actually revealing Martian sand it becomes more exciting. Curiosity is currently exploring Mars and is trying to drive up evidence that there has been life on the planet. During this exploration, this rover is finding and encountering dark sand dunes. Hopefully, as time goes on this rover continues to send us these groundbreaking images. Then, hopefully, one day it will lead us to discover that life was/is on Mars.

CURIOSITY GIVES SPIRIT AND OPPORTUNITY FOR US

There is no doubt, that everyone is most likely curious about what goes on on Mars. It is just too much of an intriguing mystery to not care about. Well, Curiosity gives the world spirit that maybe one day it can reveal that life was indeed present there. The opportunity is certainly there with NASA having their rover on the mysterious Red Planet. I think that is all anyone could ask for is the fact that NASA is giving us the spirit and opportunity. However, this also means that people who really want to know, like many scientists, have to remain as patient as possible.

CURIOSITY SHOULD CONTINUE TO GIVE US MORE

All enthusiasts around the world who care about this the most need to make sure they check regularly on Curiosity. You never know when this rover will bring back the groundbreaking news that life exists on Mars. No one will ever know when that day comes, it will just happen. All we can say is thank you to Curiosity for giving the world spirit and opportunity for this to happen.

With the recent discovery that acid fog revealed dissolved rock on mars may give way for the Martian probe to further explore Martian caves and discover life. Speculation says that there could be microorganisms hidden in the caves, Curiosity could find microorganisms on the Red Planet, meaning there could be life on Mars after all.

The acid fog seems to be making the affected areas into a sort of rock soup, giving the Red Planet some more geological diversity. After Curiosity captured images of Mars’ known and unknown features, it could be on its way to spotting the next big thing: life on Mars.

There have been many potential indicators of life found in Mars. There’s the footage that Curiosity captured where it spotted suspicious white discs inside a Martian cave, and the speculation that Mars could hold fossilized life. A geobiologist has related structures in the footage of Martian sedimentary rock with Earthly structures that are for a fact known to be created by microbial lifeforms on the Journal Astrobiology, which leads the scientific community to believe there could after all not only be life on Mars, but that it could have a similar constitution to how life works on our planet.

Folks are spotting all kinds of strange things on the surface of Mars, thanks to the Curiosity rover and a phenomenon called “pareidolia.” Pareidolia is the psychological tendency to interpret random stimuli, especially sounds or images, according to familiar patterns. It’s the reason you might see rabbits and dragons in fluffy clouds or one of the Beatles in a Rorschach blot; our minds want to create meaning in things even if there really is none.

The Curiosity was launched in November 2011 and touched down on Mars in August 2012. Since then, people have seen rats, elephants, strange ghostly women, smiling faces, and even the Rolling Stones logo in the images of Mars’ surface sent back by the rover. The latest visual, the floating spoon, was the result of the Internet playing “I Spy” with pictures Curiosity captured on August 30, 2015. A forum on the site UnmannedSpaceflight.com first started talking on Tuesday about the rock outcropping that looks like a long, thin spoon hovering above the ground; see if you can spot it for yourself here.

Images like that of the floating spoon are a testament to the Mars environment capable of shaping and maintaining such delicate formations. There is no rain on Mars, and there aren’t any earthquakes. What there is plenty of, though, is wind. The shapes on Mars’ surface are largely the product of wild dust storms driven by wind that can build and carve formations, as well as erode and destroy them. It’s hard to say whether the floating spoon is really shaped like it appears to be or whether it is just an interesting trick of the light, taking advantage of our pareidolic tendencies. But scientists do believe that it is a thin, delicate formation made possible by the uninhabited surface and the light gravity on the Red Planet–even if it isn’t really a big floating spoon.

Did Aliens Build a Pyramid on Mars? NASA photos show what some believe is a pyramid on Mars.

AN UNUSUAL STRUCTURE

YouTube channel Paranormal Crucible uploaded a video on Saturday, June 20 analyzing a photo that seemingly shows an unusual structure on the Martian surface.

The photo in question was taken by the Mastcam aboard NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity on Thursday, May 7, 2015. The photo depicts a hill and its rocky terrain. One of the rocks in the distance looks somewhat different than the others in the photo, and it bears a striking resemblance to a constructed pyramid.

The description accompanying the video states, “Due to the size of the object about the scale of a small car I would theorize that the artifact is either the capstone of a much larger pyramid possibly buried deep beneath the surface or perhaps a marker stone.”

PROOF OF ALIENS?

This object highlighted by the video is interesting. But is this pyramid on Mars proof of a current or former alien civilization on Mars?

The video’s uploader seems to think so.

In the video, using a text-to-speech program, the uploader comments, “Whatever this mysterious object may actually be is open to debate.” But then the uploader opines, “But I would suggest, due to its near-perfect design and shape, that this anomaly is the result of intelligent design, and certainly not a trick of light and shadow.”

People have been spotting unusual looking features on Mars for a long time. One great example is astronomer Percival Lowell who, in the late 1800s, observed channels on the planet’s surface, and interpreted these channels to be artificial canals manufactured by intelligent Martians.

People have spotted anomalies in Mars photographs since NASA began photographing the planet’s surface. A well-known example is an odd surface feature photographed by NASA’s Viking 1 on July 25, 1976 in the Cydonia region of the planet, which later became known as the “Face on Mars.” As its name implies, this large object (approximately one mile across) resembles a human face.

Many scientists dismiss claims of faces, artificial structures, animals, etc. on Mars, simply attributing these oddities to pareidolia —a psychological phenomenon where the brain conjures up recognizable objects, like when people see clouds shaped like animals, or Jesus on a tortilla.

But others believe that, based on the mounting number of odd objects photographed in high resolution by Curiosity, like the recent pyramid on Mars, that the possibility of a Martian civilization, past or present, can’t be ignored.
