Google Play Music Supports Families - http://clapway.com/2015/12/10/google-play-music-supports-families/

Google has made many families around the globe happy recently. They have announced that they are launching their new Google Play subscription plan. According to Google, the plan will support up to six accounts and they list the price as $14.99 a month. Six accounts should be more than enough for all members of a family to enjoy this.

GOOGLE PLAY MUSIC HAS A NEW PLAN

Google announced this new plan would be available on December 9th. This means that it is available as we speak. Many countries will be able to sign up for this subscription plan. People in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Australia, and France will have access to this new Google Play Music plan. The company stated that the same features that were a part of the normal Google Music will remain. However, they did mention that family member’s playlists and favorites will not be combined. This will still allow for all members to have their own music.

GOOGLE PLAY MUSIC HAS ONE BIG ADVANTAGE OVER APPLE

Apple has a very similar plan that they offer for families. However, there is one big factor that they do not offer that Google does. This factor is YouTube Red. Google announced that YouTube Red would be a part of the family plan. This feature is a better version of the original YouTube. It is an ad-free version, that can be accessed offline, and that offers exclusive content from YouTube. This alone should put Google’s family plan ahead of Apple’s.

GOOGLE PLAY MUSIC WILL CONTINUE TO EXPAND

The company announced the countries that their new family plan was available in. However, they also say that it will be released to other countries soon. This means if your country does not currently have access to this awesome subscription plan, soon it might. They did not say what specific countries it was coming too soon, but just that more countries would have access to it.

Google Play Music Wins Over Spotify in Africa - http://clapway.com/2015/12/08/google-play-music-wins-over-spotify-in-africa-123/

Google Play Music has hit the African market, launching in South Africa today. The service allows any user to upload up to 50,000 songs from their libraries free of charge, and can also purchase additional tracks and keep in their Google Play Music Libraries permanently. The subscription, much like to Spotify and Apple Music, costs $9.99 per month.

Google Play Music is Cheaper in South Africa

The service will be coming to South Africa at the excellent price of $49.99 South African rands per month, which is about $3.50. There hasn’t been any information released regarding if this will be the price only for a limited time or if it will remain as is.

This is Google’s first outreach to the African continent though other Google Play services are available in African countries. Google Books was first introduced to South Africa in 2014, and Google Apps have also been around for a while. Google Movies is available in certain African countries, but not in South Africa.

Google Play Music iOS App is Also Now Available in South Africa

The original Google announcement declares that the app would only be available for Android and the web, but an app for iOS has since rolled out. Google is starting to roll out more and more Google products three months after carrier billing was released for Google Play purchases in South Africa.

This means that instead of being charged directly onto their cards, users who buy content at Google Play get billed directly to their phone bills. That could be Google’s business model for African countries as it’s not certain that this kind of strategy would work in the American market. Still, this is great news for Google, who is offering the same services as Spotify and Apple Music for a significantly cheaper price. This will give them a definite advantage in an important market.

Google Unveils Free Version of Music Streaming Service in the US - http://clapway.com/2015/06/24/google-unveils-free-version-of-music-streaming-service-in-the-us876/

Today, Google launches its free music streaming service, called Google Play Music, for United States residents’ hearing pleasure.

Google, their free music service Google Music Play, and the race for a big debut

Despite Google already having a paid version of their free music streaming service, the worldwide, popular search engine decided to try a new approach. They wanted users to see just how amazing the free service is and eventually decide to subscribe to the paid version. According to recent reports, its paid version “had around 815,000 subscribers in the US last December.”

Speaking of strategies, the race for the big debut was with Apple, as Apple has been speaking of releasing its music streaming service (featuring a 90-day free-trial), Apple Music, on June 30th. Apple’s music streaming service’s debut has been endlessly discussed for a while and it was apparent that the wait would be over. However, due to Google’s sprint for the big debut, they have beat their competition thus far. Will the lead last once Apple releases their music streaming service?

What will be featured in Google Play Music created by Google?

Currently, Google and its free music streaming service, Google Play Music, will feature advertisements, similar to other well-known, popular music streaming services. In addition, it will also feature ways to match music based on many factors, such as what task a person is doing, what mood the person is in, and what kind of music the person feels like listening to. This feature may sound familiar to other music streaming services that are out there today (and it does), and that will be further discussed in-depth.

How Google Play Music curated by Google is different from other free music streaming services out there

Free music streaming service Google Play Music, created by the well-known, heavy-hitting, search engine giant Google, is by no means innovative or revolutionary when it comes to providing music to the general public. Its features conspicuously mimic music streaming apps like Spotify and Songza (which Google actually bought last year). Especially with Songza, Google Play Music is following suit by using their well-known feature which is selecting music based on either mood, task, music genre, or playlist.

Overall, Google’s free music streaming service is only available online and will be released for iOS and Android this week as well. At the moment, there is no further discussion of the streaming service being available being released outside of the US, but the paid version is currently still available in over 50 countries.

No matter how awesome a free music streaming service may be, it’s useless without good headphones. Check out the wireless bluetooth Rokit Boost SwageU headphones here:
