Sometimes meetings need to take place over the internet. Well, Google Hangouts makes this easy as they offer up to 10 people communicating on one feed for free. However, while Skype offers up to 25 people in one feed, it must be paid for.

Microsoft has been known to have bandwidth issues with Skype. At times, it can get downright ridiculous, but Hangouts does not have these issues. Not only this but they also offer a feature that allows users to reduce the bandwidth.

While both of these platforms offer phone calls, Google Hangouts does not charge their users for it. However, Microsoft requires their users to pay a certain amount per minute.

This one is big for conversations that include needing to edit a document. Google Docs allows any users to edit documents in real-time. You will not find this ability with Skype.
