Apple might look great in sales, but the stock of the company is giving Wall Street less hope that 2016 earnings will exceed their expectations. Even though the company sold 76 million units of the iPhone and 6 million Macbooks in the final quarter of 2015, the company’s stock is 29% down from its peak.

Apple Stock Goes Down 9% in the First Month of 2016

Just in January, the company’s stock is getting dangerously low. Investors are worried that Apple may not be able to maintain their magnanimous growth rate. The truth is smartphone sales overall are hitting a plateau since everyone who wants a smartphone probably already has one.

The Cupertino-based company relies almost entirely on keeping customers and convincing them to upgrade to the next iPhone or iPad in the series. 63% of the company’s revenue came from the iPhone, which is an increase from 2014, but it’s possible that it goes downhill from here.

Cupertino Could Be in Trouble

Apple’s suppliers have all quoted weak demand for the iPhone, declaring that the company has cut as much as 70% of the orders for the device’s components. Actually, general demand for the phone in Europe in America has decreased between 5% and 10%. Analysts are already expecting lower numbers for the first quarter of 2016 – but this would be the first time it has happened ever.

However, Apple has the power to make a hot comeback. The company has, after all, exceeded all of Wall Street’s expectations for 12 quarters. Even if sales do drop, the company will still keep a number two spot as the second biggest earner in American history and the second largest number of sales of smartphones any company has had in three months. We are talking about Apple, after all.

The Announcement of the 2016 Lineup Might Change Everything

The company is still growing, though not at the speed that it should. Sales for the iPad continue to go down, and the Apple Watch hasn’t broken enough ground (although it was the trendiest gadget last quarter). Apple is also putting a lot of work into software, partnering up with IBM to get Apple hardware in businesses and in cars. In about eight months, the newest batch of devices will be revealed. It’ll probably be business as usual for the company.

Apple has basically confirmed that they’re entering the automobile industry. The project has apparently been in the works for a year, and though it hasn’t been 100% confirmed, we may see the Apple Car in the market by 2019.

Apple Has More Secrets than the CIA

The company is notorious for keeping things secret, and for patenting nearly everything. Apple is allegedly moving for the car making industry in the next few years, and there is strong belief that they may be working on an electric car.

The company has been hiring engineers that specialize in autonomous driving, battery technology and the auto industry. These employees number in the hundreds. Sources have declared that the first Apple Car will be launching in 2019, as per Steve Jobs’ vision. Analysts have even attached a price tag to the project, starting at around $55,000 and going up to $100,000.

The Company Even Met with the California DMV

Apple was even reported to have met with the California Department of Motor Vehicles to discuss regulations for testing self-driving cars. The DMV has granted permission for self-driving car testing to about twelve companies. Just last week, the DMV declared that all self-driving cars must have a licensed human driver behind the wheel during tests.

Apple Car Will Thwart Competition

This move is obviously to tease the competition. Many car makers are getting into the smart car business. Volvo, Audi, Mercedes-Benz and others are making moves to develop autonomous cars or cars with autonomous features. Nissan and other Asian car makers are good contenders to make cars efficient and affordable, but a self-driving car out of Apple will bring excitement to many. It’s possible it may even outdo the hype that Tesla usually brings with their cars.

Apple CEO Admits to Keeping Money Abroad

Tim Cook revealed in an interview that Apple kept more than $100 billion outside the United States. After all, more than half of Apple’s revenue comes from abroad, so it would make very little sense to bring it over to the US and have to pay taxes.

It’s only to be expected from Apple since they handle a significant amount of capital all over the world. The company will surely continue to expand as they dabble on all the most relevant industries of the time. Apple will likely bring a very elegant car to the market, different from all others. It’s likely to be closer to a luxury car than other models out of Google. The technology has possibly been in development since Steve Jobs was CEO, so it’s no surprise that they’ve announced such a close release date.

New Apple Offices Will Be Built Within the Next Few Years

The new Apple HQ will cost $5 billion to build. The structure has the look of a UFO, and will transform the Cupertino space into a wealth of green and high-tech architecture to show the true face of Apple.

The Cats Will Slowly Get Out of the Bag

More information about the new headquarters and the new Apple Car will continue to roll out as time goes by. Truly enough, Apple probably keeps the best secrets in all of Silicon Valley, maybe even in all of the US. They will only unveil choice details every now and then. Nevertheless, the public is more than excited to see what Apple will bring to the table. Most likely, they’ll be developing a car that will be sold in masses. Their intention seems to be very different from Google’s approach, which is more along the lines of providing public transportation. Knowing Apple, they’ll develop a private car roster that will take clients wherever they need to go. This will probably cost a pretty penny, too.

Only time will tell what the next step for Apple will be. They have a lot on their hands, and it will all likely succeed. Tim Cook and Apple Inc will not rest until our phones, watches, laptops, tablets and even cars have the Apple branding.

Apple has been recently caught in a racism scandal after a group of black students were refused entry to an Apple Store in Melbourne, Australia. Since the incident, Apple CEO has made an apology on behalf of the staff involved and of the company, stating that the incident does not represent the company’s values.

Apple Store Racism Scandal: The Video, Ironically, Was Taken with an iPhone

The group of students, all 10th graders at Maribyrnong College, recorded the incident with an iPhone, where a store staff and security can be clearly heard saying that they’re worried the kids ‘might steal something’, which is met with shock by the students.

The video hit social media outlets under the caption ‘Simply Racism’, and went viral instantly. It was shown in news broadcasts as well, which led to one of the students being interviewed. The student further clarified that the staff at the Apple Store stated that they were concerned that the group of kids would cause trouble and steal something.

Since the Apple store racism incident, the company has made a statement apologizing for the incident. Additionally, Tim Cook sent out an email to the employees involved ordering that they be retrained on customer engagement and inclusion practices. The email, which was later on leaked to the press, also states that the views expressed in the video do not represent Apple’s beliefs or values.

Tim Cook Calls Apple Store Racism Incident ‘Unacceptable’

Tim Cook added that this Apple Store racism scandal is unacceptable and doesn’t align with Apple’s values in the least. Cook assured that appropriate measures would be taken against this, and that the footage he saw and words he heard were ones he nor any Apple executive wants to hear.
