Microsoft to Help Entrepreneurs More than Apple - http://clapway.com/2015/11/27/microsoft-to-help-entrepreneurs-more-than-apple-123/

An inspiration entrepreneur named Ariela Suster recently released her story on how the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablet has helped her immensely with her company. Let’s see Apple try and do something like this.

HOW THE SURFACE PRO 4 CHANGED SUSTER’S BUSINESS

Suster is helping to re-build El Salvador’s newest generation via the company Sequence. Sequence is a business with the mission to limit the violence that the youth lives through and help to disrupt it. El Salvador has no shortage of violence and this company builds off of it in a positive way. Suster stated that people join violence due to the lack of opportunities in the world and she said she is using her fashion platform to try and help the violence issue. She stated that this would probably not be possible without the help of her Surface Pro 4. She uses the Microsoft tablet to create new designs, talk to her artisans via OneNote, Drive, and Skype, and also to create PowerPoint presentations about her designs and collections.

Suster stated that before she was using the Microsoft tablet that life was much more difficult. She mentioned how designs would be off, that she would have to draw out by hand what she wanted, and that communicating was much more difficult. She mentions how now with the Surface Pro 4 her life has become a million times easier and her business is flourishing. The biggest compliment she gave to Microsoft was just how easy the tablet was to use and how efficient it is.

NOW WHAT APPLE?

This is an absolutely amazing and inspirational story given by Suster on just how much the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has changed her life. To her it is more than just a tablet and it has allowed her to fulfill her dreams and also help out a community. Apple does indeed create great products, but can Apple say that they have fulfilled someone’s lifelong dreams with one of their products? Microsoft can now say that and they should be proud after hearing this heartfelt story. Does this mean that Microsoft is better than Apple? That question is a matter of opinion, but they do indeed now have an edge on Apple from pure inspiration.

Future Aerospace Tech Will Be Funded By NASA - http://clapway.com/2015/07/08/future-aerospace-tech-will-be-funded-by-nasa765/

NASA has recently decided that it will fund more future aerospace tech in an attempt to advance the mission of NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) and their dreams of game-changing new aerospace technology for future missions. The list of new aerospace tech concepts can be found on the website, listing those which were selected for Phase II of the program for further funding.

What is NIAC?

Originally, the NIAC was run by the Universities Space Research Association. Then, a change in who held the reins took place but the original NIAC website when it was manned by USRA can still be found for those with a hint of nostalgia and as a reminder of its origins. There more information can be found about past studies and other such things.

Now, NIAC deals with cultivating new aerospace tech ideas until fruition. These technologies would help NASA’s future missions but also work with the innovators/entrepreneurs that presented the idea as well. This is all in hopes of changing the way we think of aerospace tech as we know it.

The aerospace tech of tomorrow

There is half the number of concepts this go around than there were for Phase I with seven projects. Some of the concepts involve the idea of keeping the systems operational in parts of space where there is low light to pitch black conditions but also freezing temperatures. Others deal with exploring the depths or measuring the ability to support life.

All of the concepts dealing with their own unique mission. The statement by NASA involved the space agency reaffirming to the public that with this new innovative aerospace tech being funded, the stance America has in exploring space will be kept and future success will be had.

The Waiting Game

All in all, it is an exciting time to be an innovator with the NASA agency, especially considering the new funding available for those seven aerospace tech concepts. Let’s see what interesting things these new techs will bring to both the public and NASA, should their concepts prove viable and come to fruition.

“You never 100% know if your attempts to create will be successful, or will amount to anything, but you can’t let that deter you. Success flows when you throw yourself in and have a go – mistakes and all!” - Emma Isaacs - http://clapway.com/2015/06/29/unity-is-strength-women-online-network-business-chicks-goes-global-234/

Business Chicks, an innovative women’s networking group from Australia is launching its services in the US in July, creating a platform for business-minded women, from Wall Street to self-starters, to share ideas.

Business Chicks, founded by entrepreneur Emma Isaacs, 35, is currently the largest social network for women in Down Under.

“Together, we learn, grow, challenge and kick ass,” the company says. “We’re a tribe of explorers and a band of big thinkers. And we believe that together, we can shine even more brightly than we do as individuals”.

It started with only 250 members but it’s now at almost 38,000 – women and men – spread across the globe. Business Chicks has set up offices in New York and will start a series of launching events all across the US with celebrities and entrepreneurs such as Rachel Zoe in the ‘Big Apple’ and Arianna Huffington in Los Angeles.

So what exactly is Business Chicks?

Basically, Business Chicks brings “like-minded souls together”, in order to swap ideas, share stories, and spark inspiration.

The company hosts hundreds of successful events every year, allowing its members to “rub shoulders” with all sorts of celebrities and characters, from Sir Richard Branson to Diane von Furstenberg and Bobbi Brown. To inspire its members, original daily content is posted on the Business Chick’s website, allowing entrepreneurs to learn and share the “tricks of the trade”.

Isaacs, who started her first job staffing agency aged only 18, has business running through her veins. She was a finalist in last year’s Telstra Business Women’s Awards in the Young Business Woman category.

Business Chick goes Global

Business Chicks is now about to go global with the 35-year-old next month launching her company into the productive US market, while eyeing Asia and Europe as well.

“You never 100% know if your attempts to create will be successful, or will amount to anything, but you can’t let that deter you. Success flows when you throw yourself in and have a go – mistakes and all!” Isaacs was quoted saying by Naomi Simson, Influencer and Founding Director of RedBalloon.

Over the years, Business Chicks has worked on initiatives such as the ‘Immersion and Leadership Project’ where Isaacs went to Uganda with a group of members to empower women.

Women and the Labor Market

According to the UN, women continue to participate in labour markets on an unequal basis with men. Women in most countries earn on average only 60 to 75 per cent of men’s wages. It is calculated that women could increase their income globally by up to 76 per cent if the employment participation gap and the wage gap between women and men were closed. This is calculated to have a global value of USD 17 trillion.

Business Chicks, is not just a sort of “sisterhood”; it has the capacity to inspire everyone to do something different. To succeed. And to be excited about it.
