Valeant to Sell Drugs For Walgreens, but a Healthy Diet Would Prevent The Need - http://clapway.com/2015/12/15/valeant-to-sell-drugs-for-walgreens-but-a-healthy-diet-would-prevent-the-need/

Walgreens and Valeant have just struck up a deal. The company announced today that they will have a new distribution deal with Walgreens. This is great news for both companies, but should we as people worry about prescription drugs? The answer is yes and if we learn to have a healthy diet, then the need to worry about these drugs would lessen.

VALEANT AND WALGREENS NEW DISTRIBUTION DEAL

Walgreens has announced that this deal will lower some of their prescription drugs by ten percent. They also said that this new pricing would be phased in over the next several months. This then includes all over-the-counter drugs that Valeant has made for them. Basically, consumers will be able to get these drugs made by Valeant at a cheaper cost. This is big news considering that Walgreens is one of the largest drugstore chains in the world. However, they might want to be cautious because Valeant has received criticism over the years.

VALEANT HAS TAKEN SOME HEAT FOR SOME OF THEIR PRACTICES

Valeant has done some practices that some are not very fond of. What they have done in the past is buy out smaller drug developers and then significantly increase the drug prices. They actually drew attention from Congress after one of their buyouts. When they purchased Nitropress and Isuprel they increased the prices of the drugs significantly. This led to some criticism from them. Also, Citron accused them of making phantom pharmacies to boost sales on their drugs. However, the real point needs to be asked and that is whether or not prescription drugs are trustworthy.

AN AMAZING STORY SHOWS A HEALTHY DIET CAN GO A LONG WAY

A very amazing story was published a couple of years ago. The story told of a woman who at the time had just turned 104 years old. Her name was Rosario Schielzeth and she talked about how during her lifetime she had two rules to live by. She said she always watched what she ate and that she always stayed away from doctors. Maintaining a healthy diet is the most important factor to keep in mind when wanting to live a long life. Also, as some studies have shown, staying away from prescription drugs is not a bad idea either.

PRESCRIPTION DRUGS ARE MORE DANGEROUS THAN CAR ACCIDENTS

As crazy as it sounds, the amount of people that die from car accidents is lower than poisoning. CDC updates their statistics on human deaths on their web page and they have around 5,000 more poisoning deaths than car accidents. Most poisoning deaths are due to prescription drugs as well. Not only that, but CDC’s statistics also show a number of deaths due to accidental poisoning is six times greater now than it was over thirty years ago.

HOW TO AVOID PRESCRIPTION DRUGS IS TO HAVE A HEALTHY DIET

The answer to avoiding the risk of accidentally dying from a prescription drug is simple. Maintaining a healthy diet is the main aspect to do, but it is not easy. This is one of the hardest things for people to do, but there are a few factors to keep in mind. One is eating properly and this is the hardest one to do. Foods loaded with cholesterol and saturated fat need to be avoided at all cost. Also, a steady amount of exercise is key. Always make sure that every day you are partaking in some physical activity. Then, prescription drugs should be avoided unless they are 100 percent necessary.

Healthy Lifestyle

THE BOTTOM LINE IS: HEALTHY DIET MEANS A HEALTHY YOU

It is all in your hands people. There is nobody to blame but yourself if you fail on keeping yourself healthy. All the help in the world is useless if you are not willing to take the necessary steps. So, with that being said, are you willing to do this?

Lifestyle Changes Might Help You Avoid Alzheimer"s - http://clapway.com/2015/07/24/lifestyle-changes-might-help-you-avoid-alzheimers436/

According to the researchers who are responsible for the latest Alzheimer’s study, people should take into consideration changing their lifestyles in order to protect their brains.

Scientists are working hard to find a drug that could at least delay Alzheimer’s disease, but this could take years. The fact that there are so many people at risk at this moment is frightening. This is the reason people are advised to try to improve their manner of living.

According to the researchers, there are plenty of options that can help people live healthier and avoid not only Alzheimer’s disease, but also many other problems that appear due to an unhealthy lifestyle.

The recommendation specialists give to people were presented at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference and were based on years of research.

A Better Sleep Might Prevent Alzheimer’s

It has been demonstrated that poor sleep quality might lead to memory problems, and this raises the risk of getting Alzheimer’s disease.

According to the doctors, trying to have a better sleeping program is an important step in changing your daily unhealthy habits. Also, people who suffer from insomnia are strongly advised to see a specialist who can help them with this problem.

The Brain Needs Exercise

Not only seniors are advised to keep their brain engaged. Learning has a great effect on our brains, and it might delay the problems that we risk when leading an unhealthy life.

Stress Is worse than You Thought

Stress is not only bad for your heart, but also for your brain. Of course, we cannot hide from it, even though this would be a great idea. However, we could learn how to cope with the stressful events we encounter during our life in order not to let them affect our brain cells.

A Healthy Diet is What We All Need

Trying to prevent Alzheimer’s disease is definitely not the only reason to have a healthy diet.

Fruits and veggies, as well as products low in sugar and fat, are advisable, because they keep you healthy in general.

Move Your Body!

All people should be paying attention to their bodies, not only to their brains. The lack of physical activity is strongly connected to a large number of diseases that increase the risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia. So, in order to avoid not only Alzheimer’s disease, but high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol, you should try to exercise as much and as often as you can.
