Nobody truly knows what the future holds, but we have a decent idea. Of course, these are just ideas that have surfaced, but with companies as powerful as Google, anything is possible.

VISION ONE: ALIENS

Ray Kurzweil is one of the world’s leading futurists, and he says that technology could allow us to go to different planets. This could then allow us to be able to talk with aliens. Also, another futurist, Arthur C. Clarke, believes that the world already has the technology to do this. Are you listening, Google?

VISION TWO: THE EARTH

The future of planet Earth can be a scary thing to think about. Due to all of mankind’s faults, Earth may be in rubble in the future. However, as Ray points out, the technology could help with all of the environmental problems.

VISION THREE: POPULATION GROWTH

Many scientists and theorists have predicted that the Earth’s population is going to continue to rise. This leads to all sorts of problems with natural resources. The good thing is, as mentioned earlier, technology can help with the need for these resources.

VISION FOUR: TECHNOLOGY ITSELF

Technology could begin to literally take over our lives, and this is right up the alley of Google. Ray mentions how there may be a time when technology merges with the creators. This means that humans might be able to use space to gather energy. Just imagine what we could do with that technology.

VISION FIVE: INTELLIGENT MACHINES

Google has already started working with AI, and it could become a bigger phenomenon. Ray mentions how these intelligent machines will be the future, and that we will soon share the world with robots. However, that can be a scary thing to think about.

NUMBER 1: THE SELF-LACING SHOES

I think everyone remembers Back to the Future, right? Well, if you are amongst the minority that does not, in the second part Marty Mcfly had his self-lacing shoes from 2015. Self-lacing shoes are no doubt the best shoes for lazy people, and Samsung and Microsoft could make a couple of bucks with it.

NUMBER 2: SELFYTHE EASY BED

Staying on the subject of self-working inventions, the next invention these two companies could invent is Selfy the Easy Bed. This bed actually makes itself and prevents the hassle of having to make it yourself. Boy, this world is just getting lazier and lazier isn’t?

NUMBER 3: THE LAZY READING GLASSES

Are you sensing a theme in these inventions? Anyway, this one is right up the alley of Microsoft and Samsung. These glasses allow people to read a magazine, or a book, without even lifting their heads. If these two companies could get their hands on this, they could even install novels and magazines inside the glasses.

NUMBER 4: DUST MOP SLIPPERS

What’s the point of wasting your time and cleaning your floor? Just slip on a pair of dust mop slippers and clean the floor with your feet. Samsung and Microsoft could definitely add technology to these slippers to further their convenience.

NUMBER 5: THE CONTROL, ALT, DELETE BAR

This one is just plain lazy! For those of you who are unaware, the most convenient way for users to bring up the Task Manager on Windows is by pressing Control, Alt, and Delete. Doing this will allow users to access all of the tasks that the computer is currently partaking in. However, apparently where they are located on the computer is too far away for some people. Well, now all three buttons are available on one bar which is the epitome of lazy.

The Fascination with brain control

Since the studying of the brain and the mind began, it has become the subject of many science observations, as well as science fiction plots galore. The whole topic is apart of mainstream culture that it is just unavoidable to hear what someone has to say about the idea.

But what is the point? What is so important about it? Answers must be provided.

The latest in brain control

It is very important because the brain is what makes our body work. It is our livelihood. We are dependent on that fact. The idea of brain control is also an explored topic in the science community and have spurred many papers exploring the history and further research.

It wasn’t until yesterday that a press release yesterday came out from the National Institutes of Health about a brain probe that may offer the ability for wireless control of the brain. The research for this was released in the Cell journal detailing the specifics on the study and process.

No, this does not mean that you can force people to do your evil bidding. So, put those plans of global domination away, because it’s just not that type of machine.

The significance of the study

But more on the new furor is that this new tool is very innovative because it now allows one to observe the brain in a more nature way. So there isn’t too much poking and prodding by surgeons as they fiddle with your brain while you are awake, because let’s face it, you kind of feel invaded in those surgeries or exams.

Which is why the brain probe was made, to help lessen the need for those methods, make you feel more comfortable, and lessen the risk of those routes. No one wants to have their brain messed with, let alone suffer from a goof-up during a surgery or examination.

That kind of thing only leads to lawsuits. So, brain control probe for the win! Only time will tell what this little thing can tell us about our brains.
