Destiny Receives 2.0.2 Update: No Need to Win Anymore - http://clapway.com/2015/11/19/destiny-receives-2-0-2-update-no-need-win-anymore/

The much allured and popular game known as Destiny has received yet another update from developer Bungie. Bungie has said that this update will modify some of the major components of the game and that it will fix some of the present bugs in the game and also allow gamers to be able to win bounties easier.

WHAT THIS NEW UPDATE WILL DO

This new update for Destiny could improve what already is an extremely popular video game depending on the players take. This new patch will reportedly fix a glitch that allowed the Nightstalker Hunter class to be achieved through Crucible mode. Crucible mode is a competitive PVP, person versus person, multiplayer activity in Destiny. Now there will be more skill involved in getting to a Nightstalker Hunter class other than just spamming weapons in Crucible mode. Bungie has also stated that it will be easier for players to earn bonuses and rewards inside Crucible mode.

Apparently, players will now receive rewards and bonuses for simply completing a game rather than actually winning it. This is a very generous update from Bungie and one some gamers will probably not be OK with. Some players like a challenge and this decision will take a little bit of the difficulty away from receiving rewards, but for other players they will probably love the fact that rewards are now easier to achieve. It is also being reported that there will be a new way to spend the money that is achieved. Banshee-44, who is the weapons merchant, will now be selling weapon parts for money and Lord Shaxx will sell elemental swords for a more fair price. These fixes and additions should give Destiny players a new experience when they play the game.

WILL THESE NEW UPDATES IMPROVE DESTINY?

What can be taken from these new updates from Bungie is it appears that they are trying to make the experience for Destiny a little bit easier. As mentioned earlier, whether or not making a game easier or harder is good depends on the player. Some players absolutely love a challenge and do not like it when a game holds their hand while playing. Other players like guidance and less of a challenge. The question on whether or not this newest patch from Bungie will improve Destiny is one that can not be answered because it depends on the player. However, it is always good for a company to at least attempt to fix any complaints about a video game.

Turns out, #Microsoft snuck # Windows10 images into an automatic #update. - http://clapway.com/2015/09/11/microsoft-windows-10-consent123/

On Thursday, The Inquirer reported that one of its users noticed a file on his computer that typically hosted the image files for the new Windows 10 operating system. That struck the user as odd since he hadn’t upgraded to Windows 10, hadn’t planned on upgrading, and hadn’t even reserved an upgrade.

THE READER’S STORY

According to the Inquirer reader, his computer had been experiencing a ton of obtuse symptoms that shouldn’t have existed.

“The symptoms are repeated failed ‘Upgrade to Windows 10’ in the WU update history and a huge 3.5GB to 6GB hidden folder labelled ‘$Windows.~BT’,” the reader said to Inquirer in an interview.

The reader said he never had any intentions to upgrade to Windows 10, even though Microsoft is offering Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 users a free upgrade to Windows 10 up to a year after launch.

MICROSOFT FESSES UP

Following the message, the news publication received from their reader, The Inquirer reached out to Microsoft for comment about the situation. According to them, Microsoft is automatically downloading the image files to users who have opted into receiving automatic updates through Windows Update.

“When the upgrade is ready, the customer will be prompted to install Windows 10 on the device,” said Microsoft.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS SCENARIO

While it is incredibly generous of Microsoft to offer Windows 10 to users for free, the company is overstepping its boundaries by making the operating system an automatic update. There are many reasons why this is wrong. First off, not all programs are compatible with Windows 10 right out of the gate. Small businesses that rely on older software might unknowingly download the Windows 10 update, which may cause some websites to not work correctly, at least without some finagling.

On-board storage is also a huge concern for consumers. What if you’re limited to flash storage? Having 6 GB stuffed on your machine “just in case” is a bit much. People with limited data caps are also at risk of reaching that ceiling without knowing it.

What do you think? Should Microsoft have snuck in the Windows 10 images into an automatic update?

It"s on the #Apple Rumor Mill -- but if it"s true, finally! - http://clapway.com/2015/07/12/apple-to-introduce-new-ipods-on-tuesday-345/

According to the French website iGen.fr, whose track record’s in good standing, Apple will be announcing a whole new iPod lineup on Tuesday, July 14th. Just when many of us believed that iPods would no longer be getting any updates, Apple brings in a whole new update for Apple Mp3 player fans.

More iphones, less ipods

It was observed that since the company announced their new Apple Music streaming service last month, the website lost its “iPod” section, therefore leading many to think the music player was not bound to be updated anymore.

With an ever increasing sale of iPhones, less and less people reply on music-only players such as the iPod, therefore it would be understandable why Apple would decide to kill one of the biggest products in its history.

However, according to the rumours, new iPods are on their way pretty soon and will include significant updates — especially for the iPod Touch.

New Colours

Earlier this month, iPods in new unseen colours were spotted on iTunes version 12.2, including a new gold or beige colour for the Nano, a brighter pink for the Shuffle and a darker blue for the Touch. Also, a few eagle-eyed users noticed that the pictures of the devices included the Calendar app dated on July 14, which adds to the information on when these new products are set to be announced.

A Super-fast iPod Touch

The most significant update will be featured on the Touch, Apple’s most selling iPod. It is believed that the company will release its “fastest ever iPod Touch”, which will include a 64-bit processor instead of the current 32-bit. Also, according to rumours the device’s camera will be updated and so will the 16, 32 and 64 gigabyte storage.

Also, now that the streaming service “Apple Music” has been launched, some believe it’s the perfect moment for the company to introduce music-related products.

However, no Apple official event has been planned for Tuesday yet, leaving people wondering whether the rumours are true or fake. Nevertheless, sooner or later these new products will be announced, especially considering that the current iPod Touch has not gone through significant changes since 2012.
