Sentai Filmworks Picks Up Phantasy Star Online 2 for their Winter Anime Lineup

The winter 2016 anime season will be featuring a surprising title. The sequel to Phantasy Star Online is finally making its way to North America. While it is not the video game itself, which SEGA released only to the Japanese market.

In an official statement, Sentai Filmworks declared that they will be releasing the anime on traditional and digital media platform. There is even a possibility for home video release. The anime series will follow the MMORP’s outline. It tells the story of Itsuki Tachibana, a Phantasy Star Online 2 player and his adventures both inside and outside of the game. The series will be directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi. Scripting and composition will be led by Mitsutaka Hirota. Minoho Takasu will be providing character designs. The anime will be produced by TELECOM ANIMATION FILM, who also produced Ramen Fighter Miki, Lupin III – The Italian Adventure and Sengoku Basara: Judge End.

ARK: Survival Evolved is shaking the world of PC survival games. In less than a week, the game got over 1 million downloads, and hit 200,000 real days of gamer survival. This title faces gamers against the danger of dinosaurs and other great threats of the Jurassic period. It’s the only large-scale multiplayer survival game currently available on consoles, which is probably why there are more players on Xbox One than on PC.

According to the Microsoft report, gamers logged a total of 325 million hours of gameplay on Xbox Live on the week of Black Friday, which is a 196% increase from 2014’s Black Friday week. The statement also declared that the time using Xbox Apps went up 321% from last year.

Halo 5 has hit the world with a tremendous amount of hype and anticipation, and now Microsoft has revealed more content coming next month. This new content will join Halo 5’s Forge Mode, which was announced weeks ago that it will also launch in December. 343 Industries, the brains behind Halo 5, has also commented on releasing various free updates in the coming months as well.

WHAT WILL BE ADDED WITH THIS DLC?

This new DLC was teased in Halo 5’s latest live stream by Microsoft. The video teased that there will be new weapons, new weapon skins, new armor, and possibly a Forge map set in space. Many people believe that one of the weapons looked like the M41 Rocket Launcher and that players will also get the Mark IV helmet. The weapon skins in the video released were black and gold variations of various weapons. This should just be the start of what could be loads of DLC coming to Halo 5. With how critically acclaimed the Halo series has been, it should be no surprise to continue to see more and more content. Halo 5 already received its first major update when Microsoft released what is known as the Battle of Shadow and Light. This update added the Big Team Battle Mode, dozens of new Req packs, and four brand new maps.

Not only that, but in all my years of playing video games I have never once wanted to change the layout of one of my controllers. Even if I did, games usually give you controller options and often let players customize it. In other words, players can pick and choose what each buttons on the controller do via the in game options. This is not always the case in every video game, but most of them do have this option. The point is the customization of the analog stick, D-pad, and paddle is simply not necessary. The extra grip and durability is indeed an awesome feature and I am not discounting that this controller sounds really nice, but to pay $150 for a controller is just ridiculous. Three brand new games could be bought for that kind of money for goodness sake. This controller looks great, but if you want to spend $150 for a controller than be my guest.

The Xbox One has made an announcement ahead of the release of its new dashboard: it now supports over 100 games originally for the Xbox 360. The company has named this the Xbox One backwards compatibility program, and it takes off November 12 alongside the update to the Xbox One’s dashboard update, which will be powered by Windows 10.

This means that with this new dashboard, players will be able to insert their Xbox 360 game disks into their Xbox Ones. Players will then be prompted to download the game digitally, and once that’s complete, the original Xbox 360 game will run on the Xbox One. This move is surely made to compete with the PS4, whose games are exclusive to its console. This play, which may be profitable but makes very little sense for consumers, is a game changer in a sense, because crowd favorites can be brought back to life if gamers have upgraded their hardware while reluctantly sacrificing some of the console’s best games.

Among the favorites in the list that will be playable with the Xbox One backwards compatibility program are: Assassin’s Creed 2, Mass Effect, Mirror’s Edge and Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+. Unfortunately, among those not included in the program are Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Red Dead Redemption, Skyrim, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Halo: Reach.

This new update on the Xbox One will completely overhaul the previous user interface and implement an entirely new one with a more attractive appeal. One of the biggest changes is the focus on vertical scrolling with the users being able to make better use of the display than ever before. This will also allow the developers to engage their users using the additional content Microsoft added to their dashboard. However, probably the biggest and best thing Microsoft did was to add backwards compatibility to their Xbox One. Basically what this means is that now Xbox 360 games can be played on the Xbox One. This was one of the big things missing from the Xbox One during its launch in 2013. This will allow users to enjoy all of their favorite Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One. Follow These Instructions To Get the Required Updates

Unsurprisingly, there are things you will need to do on your Xbox One and your Windows 10 device in order to successfully stream your games. On your Windows 10 device that you intend to stream games on, you’ll need the latest Xbox app installed on it. On your Xbox One, you’ll need to go to the Settings menu and find Preferences. Enable the option that says “Allow game streaming to other devices.” From there, you’ll need to return to your Windows 10 device, find the connect menu, and click “Add a device.” Connect to your console through there. You will also use this to connect your Xbox One (or Xbox 360) controller to the computer or tablet. It’s now connected!

Now you have two options: play your Xbox One through the console and simply stream it, or control your Xbox One entirely through your Windows 10 device. You can, from the Home menu, click Recently Played and then Play From Console. This would be the standard way to simply stream your game through the device. Those who wish to control everything through the computer or tablet can go to the Home menu and click Game Streaming.
