Could #marijuana really help effects that come with #autism? - http://clapway.com/2015/07/20/can-medical-marijuana-ease-severe-side-effects-of-autism-221/

Two months ago, the Medical Marijuana Review Panel has made their case that marijuana might be able to ease severe side effects of autism and the motion seems to be now considered for approval in Michigan.

Parents Want to Treat Children with Marijuana

The fact that marijuana can relieve the side effects of other diseases, such as glaucoma, cancer, HIV or hepatitis C is already known. But will it be approved for autism, as well?

Even if there have been opinions against the use of marijuana, when it comes to autistic children, quite a large number of parents are beginning to use medical marijuana to help their kids deal with the severe symptoms whatever disorder or disease they have might bring.

Marijuana Should Be Used for Aggressive Behaviors, Doctors Say

In accordance with the advice given by many doctors, it seems that medical marijuana should only be used for aggressive behaviors and meltdowns in autistic children. However, there are many parents who are already treating their children with this plant.

According to their declarations, the kids managed to achieve a more normal life since they started the treatment with marijuana.

The Marijuana Approval Meeting Postponed

A meeting to decide if marijuana should be accepted as part of the autism treatment was supposed to happen today. However, the Michigan Medical Marijuana Review Panel postponed action Monday in order to allow the members to read the research. They will meet again on 31st of July.

The members have information regarding both sides of the problem: those who proposed medical marijuana as a treatment for autism stated that the oil extracted from it can control the behavior of autistic persons. However, their opponents strongly believe that there is not enough information that sustains this affirmation, considering that marijuana is not helping people with autism.

The Panel Will Make a Recommendation in Favor or Against

There are more people who are in favor of allowing medical marijuana as part of the autism treatment. However, the decision is in the hands of the director of the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.

Until this moment, in Michigan, medical marijuana can be used against the side effects of cancer, glaucoma, HIV, hepatitis C and a few other conditions. But in order to know id autism can be treated with this plant, we have to wait until the end of July.
