Yet another voice recognition software has been created. Google now has Google Now Voice, and it is very similar to Siri. This new digital assistant is actually a portal to the main search engine from Google. However, Siri still holds the advantage.
WHAT GOOGLE NOW VOICE CAN DO
Google Now Voice is able to accomplish a good amount of tasks for users. This digital assistant can turn WiFi, Bluetooth, and the flashlight on and off. For example, if a user said, “turn WiFi on”, then your WiFi will be turned on. This will work the same way with Bluetooth and the flashlight. Google Now Voice can also read out your text messages on your phone, as well as launching any app that you want. You can also tell it to play music in a specific app. You can also tell this digital assistant to call or text one of your contacts. Alarms can also be set, photos and videos can be taken, and you can change the brightness and volume levels with this assistant.
SIRI IS STILL BETTER THAN GOOGLE NOW VOICE
Even though this new assistant from Google is good, Siri still holds the edge. Even though it is not a proven fact, Siri just seems to work faster. Also, Siri has an excellent back story of how it helped a 13-year-old child, with autism, with communication. When Google does something like this, then we can talk. Not only that but Siri also does much better with languages outside of English.
GOOGLE NOW VOICE HAS A CREEPY FACTOR
There is one problem with Google Now Voice that is a deal breaker, though. This issue will sound very familiar because it is apparent in many Google products. What I am talking about is the way Google scans users e-mails, accounts, history, etc. to feed its advertising. Google is notorious for doing this, and many people are probably aware by now.
GOOGLE NOW VOICE IS STILL REALLY GOOD THOUGH
Even though Siri might still be better, Google Now Voice is still really good. It has many features that will make life much easier for users. However, if Google would just stop spying on everyone, they might be better off. Digital assistants are becoming more and more popular, and eventually, they will get to the point where they always understand you.
