Meth Will Fry Your Brain, but LSD Could Make You Steve Jobs - http://clapway.com/2015/12/22/meth-will-not-turn-you-into-steve-jobs-but-lsd-could-123/

More and more meth labs are being found in America, and it’s taking a terrible toll on children that are exposed to cooking. 278 children in Indiana have suffered the ill side effects of meth cooking in 2015 alone, and rounding up to national figures, it reaches over 3,000 since 2007.

Children Exposed to Meth Labs Have A Dull Future

Meth cooking is a great threat to the development of children for many reasons. Meth cooking parents are usually also addicts, and with the pressure of making new batches of the drug and the effects of using meth, children are often neglected. To date, Delaware County, Indiana alone has made 200 meth lab arrests. This is the top figure in the state.

Meth is Affecting Too Many Young People

Children found in meth cooking lab sites are never healthy. They are often victims of abuse, since meth addiction comes with increased aggressive behavior and hostility. They are also often found with injuries and disease. In one particular case, three children were found beaten and battered, and all tested positive for Hepatitis C. All three of them had needle punctures in their feet and between their toes. Other children have been found with anatomic atrophies, from enlarged livers to untreated and repeated cockroach bites to burns from methamphetamine lab explosions. Direct children under the care of methamphetamine cooks/addicts are not the only ones that are harmed.

Direct children under the care of meth cooks/addicts are not the only ones that are harmed. Other children and members of the community are terrorized by drive-by shootings and robberies in cities where meth cooking comes against the law or against other methamphetamine cooks.

Indiana Prosecutors Want to Fight the Threat of Methamphetamine

The state of Indiana is under particular threat. Prosecutors from all over the state are urging the Indiana Legislature to consider one of two things:

The first option is imposing a new crime of aggravated drug dealing. This crime charge will increase current penalties for repeated offenders that are charged with drug dealing and dealing under heinous circumstance. For example, if someone is caught with the possession of a gun or in the presence of children, or if there is a death as a result of the encounter.

The second alternative would be to make a new ruling that would allow for pseudoephedrine to be available through prescription. Pseudoephedrine or ephedrine are the principal components of methamphetamine. This option has a lot of support, particulalry from the Indiana police chiefs, mayors, pharmacies as well as drug enforcement officers and firefighters. This measure should actually be implemented all over the country.

Methamphetamine Is Taking Too Many Childrens’ Lives

Currently, penalties for being caught making or in possession of drugs is lax. It is doing nothing to discourage people for using and abusing them, and it is costing the state many lives and a lot of crime. A lot of the lives lost are children.

The Indiana Department of Child Services reported a 26% rise in abuse and neglect this year. Most of these cases were directly related to drug abuse. Indiana is also the state with the highest rate of pharmacy robberies, which also puts the lives of many in danger. Steeper penalties would help reduce the risk that these members of the community are put under for simply leaving their homes.

Indiana Has the Most Meth Labs in the US

There’s no denying that meth labs are basically ticking time bombs, and Indiana has more than the rest of the country. Over a thousand children have been rescued from meth labs in Indiana since 2013, and the figures need to go down.

While impeding cooks from making more meth will not stop them from being addicts, it can reduce the risks to the public. It may also help take Indiana out of the top spot for meth labs. Meth dealing, cooking and use can only bring around violence. Plainly said, meth can only make you more stupid, hooked to something that will monopolize entire lives until they are ultimately destroyed.

Meanwhile, Silicon Valley Is Raving About LSD

Microdosing LSD is the latest trend at Silicon Valley. Actually, using drugs is not new around those parts. Quoted by Steve Jobs as one of the three most important things he did in his entire life, it’s still causing quite the stir. According to unnamed professionals at the Valley LSD can increase creativity and ‘out of the box’ thinking. Microdosing makes the experience of taking LSD centralized, so there are no full-body experiences. It’s a great boost, according to users, but it can also be dangerous.
