Here"s a Hybrid of the Apple Watch and the Fitbit for Kids - http://clapway.com/2016/01/18/heres-a-hybrid-of-the-apple-watch-and-fitbit-for-kids-123/

A new invention out of Hong Kong got its own piece of the spotlight at CES 2016 as a combination of the Apple Watch and Fitbit for kids. Introducing, the dokiWatch.

dokiWatch is the First Smart Wearable Specifically Designed for Kids

The device is a 3G enabled smartwatch specifically designed for children. It enables video calling, voice calling and messaging in one simple design. The smartwatch also doubles as a fitness tracker.

This Wearable Takes a Page out of the Apple Watch

The watch is designed in a way that makes it easy to use but also fun and engaging. Like the Apple Watch, it keeps kids communicated with their families and with each other. It features a front camera for video calling and can send messages with just a few taps. This is not a complex device, so any kid between the ages of 6 and 12 can easily use it.

The dokiWatch has GPS tracking, which tells guardians where their children at a certain time. This can be interpreted as a double-edged sword, but it also could save lives. It is important for guardians to be aware of where kids are in case of an emergency, after all. This watch also teaches children about responsibility. There aren’t any wearables currently designed for children, so this is a great tool to introduce them to the world of smart technology.

Fitbit Meets Tamagotchi

The dokiWatch features a dokiPet, which is pretty much a Tamagotchi pet on the smart wearable. But this pet isn’t just any kind of pet, it works as a fitness tracker. This encourages kids to stay active and be healthier while interacting with a virtual pet. The dokiPet rewards kids with achievement badges and other incentives to keep the child motivated.

Most kids are thrown into the world of technology and they grow up with it. This is an easy and fun way to start them off. Inventions like the dokiWatch could easily spark interest in artificial intelligence and engineering. There are really no downsides to this product, and there’s no doubt that there should be more smart wearables and devices custom made for children.
