There is no doubt that both Bill Gates and Steve Jobs will be remembered forever. However, we think that Bill Gates is the better of the two.
THERE ARE Three Reasons Why Bill Gates is Better Than Steve Jobs
REASON ONE: PRODUCTS
There is no denying that Steve Jobs created some of the best products of all-time including the iPad, the iPhone, and the iPod. The problem, though, is that these types of products were already in existence when he created them. Before the iPod, there were MP3 players. Before the iPad, there were several tablets. Lastly, before the iPhone, there were several smartphones. On the other hand, Bill Gates created the MS-DOS which became the standard system for running computers. Without this, computers would have probably never been the same.
REASON TWO: PHILANTHROPY
Philanthropy is something that Bill Gates is extremely well known for, and something Steve Jobs was not a fan of. Gates started the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and he has donated more than $25 billion to philanthropy. He also convinced Warren Buffet to donate several billions of dollars toward it. Steve Jobs, on the other hand, actually was notorious for closing down his company’s philanthropy program.
REASON THREE: THE WAY GATES GAVE HIS MONEY
Gates is better not just for the fact that he donated so much money, but because of the way he donated the money. He does not slap his name on huge buildings and large institutions, instead, he figures out the best way to give his money away. He used the idea of return on investment to donate to philanthropy. Both of these creative geniuses deserve praise, but in the end, Bill Gates will be remembered as the better of the two. Is there really any shame in that? Think about it…
