Here"s a Hybrid of the Apple Watch and the Fitbit for Kids - http://clapway.com/2016/01/18/heres-a-hybrid-of-the-apple-watch-and-fitbit-for-kids-123/

A new invention out of Hong Kong got its own piece of the spotlight at CES 2016 as a combination of the Apple Watch and Fitbit for kids. Introducing, the dokiWatch.

iWatch for kids Clapway

dokiWatch is the First Smart Wearable Specifically Designed for Kids

The device is a 3G enabled smartwatch specifically designed for children. It enables video calling, voice calling and messaging in one simple design. The smartwatch also doubles as a fitness tracker.

This Wearable Takes a Page out of the Apple Watch

The watch is designed in a way that makes it easy to use but also fun and engaging. Like the Apple Watch, it keeps kids communicated with their families and with each other. It features a front camera for video calling and can send messages with just a few taps. This is not a complex device, so any kid between the ages of 6 and 12 can easily use it.

The dokiWatch has GPS tracking, which tells guardians where their children at a certain time. This can be interpreted as a double-edged sword, but it also could save lives. It is important for guardians to be aware of where kids are in case of an emergency, after all. This watch also teaches children about responsibility. There aren’t any wearables currently designed for children, so this is a great tool to introduce them to the world of smart technology.

Fitbit Meets Tamagotchi

The dokiWatch features a dokiPet, which is pretty much a Tamagotchi pet on the smart wearable. But this pet isn’t just any kind of pet, it works as a fitness tracker. This encourages kids to stay active and be healthier while interacting with a virtual pet. The dokiPet rewards kids with achievement badges and other incentives to keep the child motivated.

Most kids are thrown into the world of technology and they grow up with it. This is an easy and fun way to start them off. Inventions like the dokiWatch could easily spark interest in artificial intelligence and engineering. There are really no downsides to this product, and there’s no doubt that there should be more smart wearables and devices custom made for children.

Withings Go is a Cheap Fitbit Apple Watch Mix for Hipsters - http://clapway.com/2016/01/06/withings-go-is-a-cheap-fitbit-apple-watch-mix-for-hipsters-123/

The Withings Go got its own segment of the spotlight at this year’s CES in Las Vegas, and it is basically a cheap (and not in price) mix of the Apple Watch and Fitbit. Withings is well known for making activity trackers, but this is a significant change from their previous products.

Fitbit Watch Clapway

Withings Go is The Most Minimalist Fitness Tracker

The Withings Go is perhaps the most lightweight activity tracker out there. It also doubles as a clip-on tracker. It displays stats round the clock in an e-ink display. Some testers are calling it a more expensive version of the Jawbone UP Move, except the Withings Go has a display. The similarities are really eerie.

This Fitness Tracker Looks Pretty Cheap

This devices tracks activity done during the day, and can be worn to bed to auto-track sleep. The battery life lasts about eight months. Clicking on the display makes it switch between the face of an analog watch and your activity tracker. This is the kind of device that caters to people who are looking for simplicity.

Not Everyone Wants to Buy the Apple Watch or Fitbit

The truth is not everyone is looking for a Fitbit to track their daily activity. The Withings Go is the alternative to people who just want a basic reading and a small pick me up to encourage them to move around a little more. Paired up with the Withings app, it’s a much more affordable alternative to the Apple Watch or the Fitbit.

Critics Call the Withings Go Too Expensive For What it Actually Is Clapway

Critics Call the Withings Go Too Expensive For What it Actually Is

The device is priced at $69, which is device’s main criticism. Competing trackers like the Jawbone UP MOVE, which costs $50. Even the minimalist Fitbit Zip is cheaper at $60. People who go for the Withings Go are likely not looking to buy a brand, but it might be discouraging when it comes to price comparison.

This device isn’t the only one on Withings’ roster, but it is simplest one. There’s pretty much an activity tracker for everyone now. Maybe this is the best fit for the kind of active person that has a tendency to lose things easily or wants a waterproof tracker that is not the Fitbit Blaze.

Here"s What Happens if You Combine the Apple Watch and a Rolex - http://clapway.com/2016/01/06/heres-what-happens-if-you-combine-the-apple-watch-and-a-rolex-123/

Smart wearables are the new trend, but many have been reluctant to follow it because it is not as elegant as it could be. A new project called the LINK watch hopes to fix that. The LINK watch is essentially what you would get from combining a Rolex and the Apple Watch.

Any Watch Smart Watch Clapway

The LINK Smart Watch Combines Luxury and Technology

The LINK smart watch, or rather, smart-clasp, was created by Wearatec. Their goal is to make a smart wearable that gives users all the benefits of technology without sacrificing the beauty if the clasp watch. The face and make of the watch is are just like any luxury watch by remaining analog. The secret is in the watch’s clasp.

The team at Wearatec have designed the clasp to fit a screen that supports all of the smart watch app favorites. Not only that, but it also allows for access to text messages, music and social media. The goal of this Toronto-based company is to give people one more alternative when it comes to wearables.

Why The LINK Watch is A Powerful Contender

Luxury watchmakers like TAG Heuer have already targeted the smart wearable industry. Although their Connect watch is incredibly popular, many people would not buy it because it doesn’t look like the classic, analog watch that enthusiasts know and love.

Wearatec has created a watch that keeps you connected and still retains the elegance and fragility of an analog watch. Not only that, but the LINK watch is carefully designed to be strong, durable and classy. It’s possible that thanks to campaigns like this, other luxury watchmakers will catch on the trend. We may even see Wearatec’s patent in other companies very soon. The idea is fresh, and now that the technology exists, it’s only a matter of spreading it.

Smart Wearables Are Slow On the Upkeep Clapway

Smart Wearables Are Slow On the Upkeep

The Apple Watch still holds the title of trendiest gadget on the market. This is why new technologies are coming up with similar concepts. Wearatec’s LINK watch is arguably one of the most refreshing ideas and one that watch connoisseurs can entertain. The LINK watch is certainly a watch that anyone can keep next to their Rolex or even their Apple Watch. This is basically the best of both worlds.

New Huawei Watches for Women Are Still Not As Trendy As Apple Watch - http://clapway.com/2016/01/05/new-huawei-watches-for-women-are-still-not-as-trendy-as-apple-watch-123/

Huawei’s smart watches are arguably the most elegant looking wearables to date, alongside the TAG Heuer Connected and the Apple Watch. The company has just released two models for women: the Huawei Watch Elegant ($499) and the Huawei Watch Jewel ($599). These are slimmer and smaller than Huawei’s other smart watches.

Huawei Clapway

Huawei Introduces A More Elegant Way of Being Smart

These aren’t the first smart watches to be designed for women with a flair for elegance and luxury. Both watches are available in basic design and with Swarovski crystals embedded onto the display. These watches even feature a speaker for voice calling. The rest of the features are in the rest of Huawei’s smart watches.

Is the Androgyny in the Apple Watch a Selling Point?

The Apple Watch features an androgynous design. This is probably why it’s so popular across all genders since it allows for customization post-purchase. These Huawei watches were designed specifically with femininity and elegance in mind. This doesn’t mean that it will sell as well as the Apple Watch.

Huawei Will Likely Sell Well in China

Apple’s newest wearable is dominating the market in a big way, and it is showing no signs of stopping. There could be an opportunity for Huawei in China, with the market being so big and Huawei being so popular. However, there aren’t high changes that this smart watch will outsell the Apple Watch.

Huawei has been dominating the smartphone industry in China, outselling both Samsung and Apple. They have a knack for making efficient and worthwhile devices. These watches are probably no different, but the Western market isn’t ready for it yet. Not to mention the fact that Huawei is selling their new wearables for a higher price. Not many people are willing to pay more money for a watch that is less trendy.

Huawei Watches will Be Available Worldwide

The launch dates for these watches are different from region to region. The Huawei watches will be available as of March 2016 in the following countries: the US, the UK, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Norway, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates.

Amazon Christmas Deals: Get Discount on Samsung Gear S2 and Apple Watch - http://clapway.com/2015/12/24/amazon-christmas-deals-get-discount-on-samsung-gear-s2-and-apple-watch/

Amazon has recently revealed more of their seemingly endless deals. These latest deals prove that this Christmas, there is not a better time to get your hands on a smartwatch. They revealed that they are slashing the prices of the Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch, the Apple Watch smartwatch, and the Moto 360 smartwatch. This announcement is just in time for Christmas.

Christmas Deal Clapway

AMAZON CHRISTMAS DEALS: SAMSUNG GEAR S2

The first deal that Amazon announced was for the Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch. This is a very recent smartwatch as it was released back in October. The original price for the Samsung Gear S2 on Amazon is $299.99. However, they are now offering this smartwatch for only $249.99. This is available for both the black and gray colors of this watch. Best Buy has a very similar deal for this smartwatch as well. However, Amazon is also offering the Samsung Gear S2 Classic for $299. This is also $50 off of the original price.

AMAZON CHRISTMAS DEALS: APPLE WATCH

The next deal that they are offering is for the Apple Watch. This deal, however, needs to be evaluated more than you think. The original price for the Apple Watch on Amazon is $408.86. The discount price for this smartwatch is $356. So, you save over $50 on this watch. This sounds good, right? However, when it is revealed that the retail price of the Apple Watch is seven dollars cheaper than the discount price on Amazon, it becomes less appealing.

AMAZON CHRISTMAS DEALS: MOTO 360

The last deal that Amazon is offering for smartwatches is for the Moto 360. This is a smartwatch that was created by Motorola for Android. The original price for the Moto 360 on their website is $249.99. However, the new discounted price for the Moto 360 is $164.85. This means that you would save about $85 with this deal. It is a full 34 percent off of its original price. This might just be the best deal out of all of the smartwatch deals this Christmas.

AMAZON HAS OTHER GREAT CHRISTMAS DEALS

Amazon also announced another deal right before Christmas. They are offering a discount on the Microsoft Band. This is actually a smart band that has smartwatch features installed. The original price for the Microsoft Band on their website is $199.99. However, now, with this discounted price, it can be purchased for $149. Not only this, but there are also hundred of other deals on their website. Just cruise around their website and you are sure to find all of the top-of-the-line deals for Christmas.

Microsoft Band Clapway

THE MOTO 360 IS THE BEST OUT OF ALL THE AMAZON DEALS

As mentioned earlier, the deal for the Moto 360 is the best out of the three. Whether or not you think the Moto 360, Apple Watch, or Samsung Gear S2 is the better smartwatch is irrelevant. The reason why this is the best deal is because it has the biggest discount. It is really that simple of a conclusion. So, the time to get a smartwatch could not be any better. This Christmas, make sure to get your Apple Watch, Samsung Gear S2, or Moto 360. There is no time to waste because Christmas is almost here!

New TagHeuer Smartwatch is Perfect for Showing Off - http://clapway.com/2015/12/07/new-tagheuer-smartwatch-is-perfect-for-showing-off123/

TagHeuer has launched its first smartwatch, and it’s possible that the Swiss watchmaker will make a line out of its Connected smartwatch. By the end of 2016 and into 2017, TagHeuer is hoping to bring variations of the Connected smartwatch.

New TagHeuer Smartwatch

New Connected Smartwatches Could Come in Gold and with Diamonds

These smartwatches will only get more expensive as the company is hoping to bring true luxury to the latest technology. The company hopes to release 2,000 units of the smartwatch per week at the demand of retailers and subsidiaries. A total of 100,000 watches has been requested.

While this is no match for the Apple Watch, it’s still impressive for such a recently launched device. This proves that the TagHeuer Connected is being taken seriously as a smartwatch, and is the best one to combine luxury and smart technology for the public.

TagHeuer Connected Costco $1,500 Right Now

The Connected is modeled after the watchmaker’s Carrera watch, running on Android Wear OS. It’s powered by an Intel ATOM Z34XX processor, with a 360×360 display with an LCD touchscreen. TagHeuer boasts that watch has an all-day battery life. The Connected watch has been selling well, as buyers are confident in the quality that TagHeuer brings to users.

Trade in A Smart Watch for A Mechanical One

One thing that the Connected watch has up on the Apple watch is that prospective buyers have the chance to trade in their smartwatch for a mechanical one in the future. This ensures that if the smartwatch is not 100% to their liking, they can switch to a traditional luxury watch. In terms of business, this is the best offer available currently.

Smart watches are not for everyone. Though it is the most trending gadget right now, there are some people that prefer the good old traditional watch. TagHeuer is counting on the favor of both the ones who like luxury and technology, and those who like the hands turning on their wrists at all times.

Apple Watch to Compete with New HTC Smartwatch - http://clapway.com/2015/12/04/apple-watch-to-compete-with-new-htc-smartwatch123/

The Apple Watch will be facing some more competition as HTC is rumored to be releasing their smartwatch by February of 2016. Rumors about an HTC smartwatch have been circulating since 2013, but it looks like it’s finally time to its actual release.

2. HTC smartwatch 1 apple watch

Evan Blass Leaks HTC News

Noted leakster Evan Blass shared the news via Twitter, saying that HTC fans will finally have their own smartwatch. There’s been no further news on the subject, but it’s sure to compete against the Apple Watch, which has been noted as the trendiest gadget of 2015. According to Blass, the HTC smartwatch will be named One, though earlier rumors say the watch has also been codenamed Halfbeak.

Rumors say the watch will have a 360×360 display. Until further confirmation is given by HTC, this is pretty much all that we know.

Apple Watch Still Leading the Ranks in Wearables

The new Apple Watch is at the top of the gadget charts, taking over every other device for the holiday season. With Christmas right around the corner, it’s possible that Apple sees a significant increase in sales. The same can’t be said for profit, but it will be a good year close for Apple.

Analysts are expecting the Apple Watch to top six million units sold for the holiday season, though the iPhone is still expected to be the company’s best selling product. The smart watch has still be named the best in its category and better than any other wearable before it.

All in all, this holiday season is sure to do well for electronics in general. Tech gadgets like the Apple Watch, hoverboards and drones will be at the top of many lists this year. As 2016 sets in, Apple is sure to face a lot of competition in the wearables market, as more and more companies join the industry and cater to different audiences.

Vine Looks Sexy on Apple Watch - http://clapway.com/2015/11/25/vine-looks-sexy-on-the-apple-watch123/

Vine has come to the Apple Watch. Its watchOS app launches today with the ability to play videos on your wrist. This comes at a great time, people can now watch their favorite 6-second clips from one more of their devices.

12. Vine 2

Vine for the Apple Watch Has Been in the Works For A While

The watch application has been in the works since at least June, when it was demoed on stage during an Apple event. Apple picked this company to exhibit the brand-new ability for applications to play back video in watchOS 2, which released in September.

It’s Still Difficult to Watch on Such a Small Screen

Though Vine isn’t shipping this update all that far after the watchOS 2 launch, the short delay may well speak to the basic speed of Apple Watch apps. Though Apple has gathered broad developer assistance for the watch, applications actually don’t matter at all on it, they’re also sluggish, and they tend to feel like iPhone applications crammed into a smaller room. It does do an excellent job of slimming down, offering up showcased Vines as well as video clips from your favorite accounts, yet you’re still viewing those videos on a tiny screen, and usually filling them fairly gradually.

Vine for iOS is Also Getting An Update

Along with releasing on the Apple Watch today, Vine is also updating its iOS application with a new way to discover video clips. You could now swipe left on any sort of video to pack a related clip that Vine assumes you’ll like. You could continue swiping up until you get bored.

The Pebble Time already has this attribute available for Android users, and it just rolled out onto iOS users. The update is restricted to AT&T consumers only, for now. Pebble has revealed that the new function will soon be assisted by various service providers.

Text Reply Works with Voice Control or Pre-Determined

Pebble Time users will have to upgrade your Time iPhone app to version 3.4 or above. Upgrade your smartwatch’s firmware to version 3.7 or above. Then visit the iOS app, go to Menu > Settings > Actionable Notifications to schedule Text Replies. Then follow the setup instructions. Pebble Time is Getting One Up on the Apple Watch?

Users have the option to reply with voice or a list of pre-set answers. The effectively sent out voice determined replies will not appear in the iOS messages app. The reply is sent out as an SMS through AT&T directly.

Has the Pebble Time been trying to get at some of the Apple Watch’s features? The watch is fairly popular among smart watch users, and it’s surely measuring up for the Apple Watch, which is the number one trend in wearable electronics.

IBM Watson Trend: Samsung Gear VR is Not A Trend - http://clapway.com/2015/11/24/ibm-apple-watch-is-not-a-trend-this-holiday/

IBM Watson Trend has been introduced as a new means for consumers to understand the top buying trends of the holiday season. Using a mix of machine learning, sentiment analysis, keyword analytics as well as natural language analysis, IBM Watson Trend tracks the top 100 marketing items throughout 3 prominent categories: customer electronics, toys and health and wellness.

IBM Watson Trend Doesn’t Have the Samsung Gear VR on the List Yet

On the surface, a lot of exactly what IBM Watson Trend is reporting as a “trend” is obvious, you don’t a supercomputer for it. For example, the leading 3 items in the customer electronics classification so far are the Apple Watch, Samsung TVs and Sony TVs. (The Samsung Gear VR, alas, didn’t even show up in the leading 10, despite selling out on Amazon as well as Best Buy.) In the “toys” category, the 3 leading fads are Star Wars LEGOs, LEGO Friends, and also LEGO City.

This leads to the unpreventable question: How do the buying ideas from IBM Watson vary from exactly what’s already offered on the market? Exactly what’s the huge bargain regarding utilizing AI to forecast shopping fads?

IBM Watson Trend: Why You Should Use It

According to IBM, there are 2 key benefits to putting the supercomputing sources of IBM Watson to work on assessing holiday shopping patterns. Think of IBM Watson as a ravenous online visitor, able to check social networks and also media magazines in real-time for any kind of indication of a change in customer view.

Another essential advantage is that IBM Watson, by utilizing organic language analysis, could analyze a lot of on-line babble that’s infamously challenging to understand. Even something as apparent as, “I’m SO going to acquire this” might be translated in various means, depending on context and tone of voice.

IBM AI is Your Best Personal Shopper

For a tip of how consumer-grade AI could transform the method we go shopping, it’s fascinating to see exactly what IBM Watson has actually revealed that’s unforeseen or unusual. Nikon cameras, which rated No. 7 in the consumer electronics classification, could seem evident until you read IBM Watson’s back tale on them– just what IBM refers to as ‘the story behind the trend.; It turns out that smartphone users who are also amateur digital photographers are amongst the greatest prospective buyers of Nikon video cameras. They’ve been so activated by the capacity of smartphone digital photography (think: Apple’s “shot on iPhone 6 ″ project) that they wish to upgrade:

IBM Ensures the Apple Watch Will Trend for A Long Time

IBM says that Watson could help determine trends and patterns, based upon a mix of sentiment, context and also material analytics. Now, the only trend that IBM Watson is 100 percent persuaded of is the Apple Watch, which proceeds to be among the most discussed products.

4. IBM 1

From this viewpoint, IBM Watson Trend appears to be even more of a business retail solution than a customer option. It makes retailers smarter about exactly what to stock, and also ways to pitch products to customers. At this year’s IBM Watson ecological community event in Brooklyn, for example, there was a variety of IBM Watson companions aiming to crack the code of e-commerce by leveraging the power of a cognitive computer. If you recognize specifically just what a customer wants when they visit a website, finalizing sales will be far more effortless.

Apple Pencil Comes to Best Buy - http://clapway.com/2015/11/22/apple-pencil-is-too-expensive-at-best-buy123/

With Black Friday just around the corner, Apple is ensuring customers can get their hands on their Apple Pencil. Facing supply constraints at its own stores, Apple has again partnered with the big box titan. Previously this year, Best Buy was the very first chain store to supply the Apple Watch.

Apple and Best Buy Partner Up

The Apple Pencil will be sold for $99.99 at the Best Buy online stores. When used with the iPad Pro, the Apple Pencil allows creatives also better precision. The Pencil was made to expand on the adaptability of Multi-Touch, and also allows users make any type of variety of effects, to a single pixel.

Apple Pencil: Easy to Break, but Kind of Worth It

Apple has worked to ensure latency, the small delay between when you begin attracting and also the time it appears on the display has been minimized to a virtually invisible level. When iPad Pro senses the Pencil, the subsystem checks its signal at 240 times per second, offering it twice the information points it generally accumulates with the customer’s finger.

The small device proved, like a lot of Apple’s products, to be a challenging one to breakdown. Apart from the minimal supply for the Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard, Apple fans could also find themselves on a lengthy search for the iPad Pro itself. The 128GB version seems in high demand both online and in stores, a scarcity just likely to raise in the coming weeks.

Tesla Made Apple Watch Charging Dock Possible - http://clapway.com/2015/11/18/tesla-made-apple-watch-charging-dock-possible123/

Starting November 20, Apple Watch owners can purchase a charging dock in Apple Stores. The Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Dock is on sale at Apple.com for $79. Just yesterday details about its packaging leaked on the web, and now Apple Watch users can charge their watches either on their side or flatly.

The Apple Watch charging dock, which connects to an A/C power adapter via a USB cable, but users will have to connect with the USB adapter that came with their Apple Watch in order for it to work properly. Hopefully this will expand so that iPhone users may be able to charge their phones via the dock.

iPhone 7 Could Come with A Charging Dock

Perhaps this move is the first step in hinting of new gadgets that will come alongside the iPhone 7, which Apple has been very tight lipped about. Like the Samsung Galaxy S6, which gave customers the option to purchase a charging pad with, Apple could be planning for a charging dock for the iPhone series.

It will likely not be available for models prior to the iPhone 7, but it will make for an interesting addition to Apple’s inventory. The charging dock for the Apple Watch currently costs about the same as a charger for Macbook computers, so it makes for a fair price in terms of Apple merchandise.

Technology Brought to Us By Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla was actually the first person to put hardware onto the idea of wireless charging as early as 1899. Although it was proven less efficient and practical than other charging modes, it is thanks to his work that we can have charging pads and docks today.

TAG Heuer Releases First Real Luxury Smart Watch - http://clapway.com/2015/11/12/tag-heuer-releases-first-luxury-smart-watch123/

TAG Heuer is bringing the first real luxury competitor to the Apple Watch: The TAG Heuer Connected. The Swiss-made smart watch comes with an Intel chip and a Google platform, and it’s already making for long queues down Fifth Avenue.

us.tagheuer.com

TAG Heuer Connected Brings Three Superpowers Together

The TAG Heuer Connected smart watch brings together three men: Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer, Brian  Krzanich, CEO of Intel and David Singleton, VP of Engineering for Android at Google. The collaboration even brings in CEO and majority shareholder of LVMH Möet Hennessy Louis Vuitton Bernard Arnault, whose conglomerate owns TAG Heuer. This combination makes for a powerful team, and it’s only to be expected that they bring a real luxury smart watch to the market.

It’ll clearly be marketed to a different audience than the Apple Watch, and for a much longer price tag.

TAG Heuer Connected Isn’t Meant to be A Fashion Watch

The TAG Heuer Connected wil come with three different faces and a variety of straps in different colours, but it’s not meant to be a fashion item. TAG Heuer is looking to market the device as a high-end horological accessory, not just a smart watch, with entirely different specifications to bring something fresh to a market that’s doing similar things toward a different goal.

The watch is modeled after the TAG Heuer Carrera, which was first introduced in 1963 and endorsed by celebrities like Leo DiCaprio. Unfortunately, the TAG Heuer Connected, like the TAG Heuer Carerra, will be a men-only watch. The watch’s diameter will be 46.2mm and 12.8mm wide, so it’ll be enormous, though it’ll be light. TAG Heuer have hinted at their intention to make a version of the watch for women.

A Marriage Between Watch Valley and Silicon Valley

The watch looks to be very agreeable, the large screen allows for easy navigation. The TAG Heuer Connected also doesn’t go into sleep mode, it only dims. It handles emails, texts, calls, maps, search and translation, and it’s also waterproof. It comes with 4GB of storage, and the battery life is about a day of continued use.

New Apple Watch is Worth 3 Month Salary in India - http://clapway.com/2015/11/10/new-apple-watch-is-worth-3-month-salary-in-india123/

The new Apple Watch has made it to Indian shelves, and its cost is the average citizen’s pay of three months. The device will come in its 38mm and 42mm size and can be combined to make 40 different watches. Customers will be able to choose from the 1,300 apps native to the Apple Watch and all devices come loaded with WatchOS. The starting price of the device is $665 for the 38mm and $751 for the 42mm.

Apple Watch - Clapway

This is the cheapest price for the Apple Watch worldwide, but it costs the average Indian citizen three paychecks.

The prices escalates when combined with accessories as it starts to look like customers looking to buy the new Apple Watch will have to have at least $1,200 at the ready, $22,000 at most. The Hermes designer watch will also be available in India for the price of $30,585. It’s not clear just how much profit Apple will make from selling their gold plated or designer labeled devices.

One thing is for certain, for the sake of fad and technology, the cheaper versions of the new Apple Watch are expected to sell quite well. It’s not too clear why India garners the cheapest prices for the new Apple Watch, but even then they seem steep for the majority.

Motorola gives glimpse of new Moto 360 - http://clapway.com/2015/08/15/new-moto-360-smartwatch-123/

In a market currently clamoring for more tech-savvy watches, a large portion of eyes may be on the Apple watch, but Motorola plans to change that with a successor to its wearable watch, the new Moto 360, which was recently teased.

What’s coming for the new Moto 360

In true troll-like teasing fashion their twitter profile had shown a twitter post that allegedly showed the new tech, but it was shortly deleted afterwards. The tweet was speculated to have originated from Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing, although details have been especially mum, there was also a tweet citing September 3 as the date where consumers could look forward to a new Moto 360, but this tweet has also been subsequently deleted as well. Although the post was deleted just as quickly as it was posted, it was enough to get the internet buzzing about the potential competition that could be garnered from a market that isn’t dominated by one tech giant and the resulting innovation that could arise from said competition.

Consumers can expect at least two Moto 360 models

The newest Moto 360 is coming in two models according to regulatory documents that were released in Brazil. Anatel, the Brazilian equivalent of the FCC in America, had to grant Motorola authorization to operate in Brazil. Much like their American counterpart, they are responsible for regulating legal commercialization of products, and it was those same document requirements that pointed to two models of the Moto 360 coming out. 9to5 google showed a picture on their website detailing Brazilian documents speaking of a 360s and 360L product. The 360L version is reported to have a heavier battery coming in at 375 mAh while the 360s will supposedly have a 270 mAh battery. The current Motorola watch has a 320 mAh battery. Battery power could play not just a huge role in the amount of time it can stay on, but could also come to play a huge role in the way software runs.

What does this mean for the tech world

What this basically means is that consumers may have a new smartphone watch to look forward to, and may face a market that offers more options. Tease or no tease, only time will tell whether or not the newest incarnation of the Moto 360 lives up to the hype.

Newest Leak of Apple iPhone 6s Reveals Force Touch Technology - http://clapway.com/2015/08/02/newest-leak-of-apple-iphone-6s-reveals-force-touch-technology686/

In the latest set of leaks involving the Apple iPhone 6s, new images have appeared that seem to point towards the company using Force Touch its upcoming pair of handsets.

May the Force Be With You

Unfortunately, Apple’s newest Force Touch has less to do with the Star Wars universe and more to do with what the name implies in a literal sense. It’s a press-sensitive technology that Apple has created to help a device understand the difference between different variations of touch. The most obvious use of this new technology would allow new gesture features to be implemented based on soft and hard presses — similar to short and long presses. This isn’t exactly a new feature, however. Apple first unveiled the feature earlier this year when it unveiled the Apple Watch and the newest MacBooks.

Source of the Apple iPhone 6s Leak

The Apple iPhone 6s leak itself comes from a Chinese repair firm called Geekbar on Weibo, but it was spotted by Steven Hemmerstoffer of Nowhereelse.fr first. The sources seem to be pretty legitimate, and the accompanying photographs show of a lot of details that support the claims.

The shape of the LCD display is largely the same, but components of the display differ in some key ways, though there are still some unknown details.

According to an Apple Insider, there is a rectangular cutout in the upper center of the screen which houses a smaller component of the same shape. They believe this could be a grounding insert. On the backside of the display, the edges have rivets rather than screws that are keeping it in place. And there are some mysterious black dots that run along the edges of the display that aren’t found on the previous device.

Apple Ramps Up Production of Their New Force Touch Displays

Whether these rumors are to be believed is almost besides the point now. According to suppliers, Apple has already started to ramp up production of these new displays and it just makes sense that Apple would be bringing this technology to one of their best selling devices. What new features Apple will be introducing with the Apple iPhone 6s remains to be seen, but stay tuned for more details soon.

Are you grabbing your #AppleWatch from a #BestBuy near you? - http://clapway.com/2015/07/27/apple-watch-hits-best-buys-shelves-why-you-need-it-and-how-to-get-it-345/

The Apple Watch will soon be available to purchase at your local Best Buy, just in time for the holiday season. Best Buy recently announced plans to start stocking their shelves with the wearable device, making them the first retail chain to start selling them.

WHY YOU NEED IT

Apple’s new wearable device is arguably the most innovative and talked about gadget on the market today. However, very little is still known about the watch itself. For example, did you know that the dial that you would use to adjust the time on a regular watch will be implemented on the Apple Watch, which Apple dubbed the Digital Crown? Only instead of fixing the time—kept perfectly accurate automatically using global positioning, according to Apple—the dial can be used to easily zoom in and out of pictures, graphics, and maps, instead of having to do that annoying pinching thing on such a small screen.

Another impressive function is the watch’s ability to show you exactly what you want to see in a single glance. Whether you want to check the time, the weather, the front page headlines, or the next turn you’ll have to take, the Apple Watch is extremely customizable. And speaking of customizing, Apple has given customers a whopping 16 different models of Apple Watch to choose from, all available in a variety of colors, materials, and come with a variety of bands. Not only this, but the Apple Watch comes standard with a wide variety of watch faces to best suit the customer’s preferences.

HOW TO GET IT

Best Buy recently announced plans to sell the Apple Watch in stores across the US starting on August 7th. However, only a select 100 Best Buys will actually physically carry the device—at least initially. Eventually, more than 300 Best Buy stores are planned to carry the device, just in time for the holidays, according to senior category officer at Jason Bonfig.

With more than 1,400 Best Buy establishments nationwide, the chances of picking up an Apple Watch from the location closest to you may be slim. However, customers will also be able to buy the watch from Best Buy’s online store.

A NEW (OLD) MARKETING STRATEGY

With reports showing the Apple Watch failing to meet sales expectations, Apple has been looking to alternative marketing strategies, as their usual TV commercials and online advertisements just don’t seem to be doing the trick. One of these strategies is a push to spread knowledge of the device through retail, giving customers a comprehensive hands-on experience with the watch.

Although demand for the watch was initially low in the first quarter of sales, attention to the Apple Watch skyrocketed when Apple put it on its shelves across the country in April, bringing in a whopping $1 billion in sales just last quarter. Apple CEO Tim Cook says he’s more than satisfied with the watches’ sales, and is ready to gear up for the holiday season, understandably “excited about how the product is positioned for the long term.”

Pricing for the Apple Watch starts at $350 for the “Sport” version, complete with a simple aluminum case and white plastic band, and can go as high as $17,000 for the most expensive “Edition” version, which boasts a 38mm 18-karat yellow gold case with a red buckle.

Are we all truly #happy with #AppleWatch? #Surveys are in - http://clapway.com/2015/07/21/are-you-as-happy-with-your-apple-watch-as-surveys-report-112/

Wearable tech has been on the rise for a couple of years now, and even though Apple was a bit late to the game with the Apple Watch, a new study shows that Apple Watch users are more satisfied with their newest tech gadget than they are with any other Apple branded device.

The Apple Watch Boasts a 97 Percent Satisfaction Rating

This customer satisfaction survey, performed by Wristly Apple Watcher Owner Network, gathered data about the Apple Watch from a pool of more than 800 participants. In the study, 31 percent of the candidates indicated that they were “somewhat” satisfied with the Apple Watch, but a majority of the candidates were “very satisfied/delighted” by the watch, making up 66 percent of the votes. With the help of some basic math, Wristly wisely summed up that 97 percent of Apple Watch users were totally satisfied with their purchase.

By comparison, the Apple Watch trumps user satisfaction ratings when stacked up against the original iPhone (92 percent satisfaction), and the original iPad (91% satisfaction). It should be noted that the original customer satisfaction surveys were done by ChangeWay Research, and aren’t directly relatable since the methodology used to gather the results are unclear.

The Apple Watch is More Popular Among the Non-Tech Crowd

Wristly didn’t give any specifics on demographical information, but they did note that 9 percent of the participants reported having a job building or marketing mobile apps, 34 percent reported that they had varying roles within the tech industry, and that 53 percent of the candidates were just everyday tech users.

Out of the non-tech users, 99 percent of the pool indicated that they were satisfied, using the same metrics as Wristly. Surprisingly, the other groups were slightly less satisfied with the device. While total user satisfaction among the tech savvy was still 96 percent and above, 33 percent of tech insiders reported being only “somewhat” satisfied, and 54 percent of app builders were “somewhat” satisfied.

Silencing the Critics

Since its release, the Apple Watch has received a lukewarm response from critics. One of the biggest points of contention was its $349 starting point. However, of the 800 candidates, 73 percent of the participants believed that the watch was “a very good value, worth more than it costs.” Again, there is no info about demographics, so it’s impossible to understand how accurately this reflects popular public opinion, but it is interesting to see that only 12 percent of the candidates reported it being a poor value.

The survey also shows, unsurprisingly, that build quality and design were the two highest rated features of the watch with 95 percent of the participants reporting in as satisfied for both. Customers seem to be the most dissatisfied with the watch’s performance (12 percent), however.

While it certainly isn’t definitive, this consumer survey does indicate that Apple Watch customers are welcoming their newest gadget to the family with open arms.

Apple Watch Sales Decline Faster Than Experts Thought - http://clapway.com/2015/07/08/apple-watch-sales-decline-faster-than-experts-thought234/

Reports have shown that consumer interest in the Apple Watch has declined faster than anticipated. The sales for this wearable technology have plummeted 90 percent since its launch in April of this year.

APPLE WATCH HAS SOLD 2.8 BILLION BANDS SINCE ITS RELEASE IN APRIL

Since its release, it has sold over 2.8 million bands and has given the company a large source of income. The Apple Watch has been rumored to have more of a cult following than the original iPhone. New market research has shown that the United States consumer interest in the Apple Watch has dropped significantly. It went from around 200,000 sales per day during the week of its launch, to daily sales have trickled to a mere 5,000 purchases a day. During its first week, Apple was selling from 30,000 to 35,000 units per day.

APPLE WATCH SPORT HAS BEEN A SUCCESS

Research has showed the entry-level, cost effective, Apple Watch Sport is the only one that is seeing strong demand and is the best selling model so far. It has also been said that Apple’s Watch Gold Edition, at a whopping $10,000, has sold a little under 2,000 units in the United States.

This is a common trend- to see interest and sales drop after the launch and hype of a new product. Experts say this may be the truth for the Apple Watch.

INDEPENDENT RESEARCH IS THE ONLY SOLID INFO OUT

Independent market research has been the only indicator for the success of the Apple Watch because Apple hasn’t been able to release the official sales numbers for the still-new product.

DEMAND LOWERS AND COMPETITION INCREASES FOR APPLE

Apple began to venture into the smart watch market to being growth as the demand lowers and the competition increases in the smart phone and tablet market. Apple is also expected to update its current line of iPhones with a possible iPhone 6s or 7 in September. This is to follow the success of the iPhone 6 series. There are also rumors of Apple developing a larger iPad, that will go by the name of iPad Pro.

Tempo Apple Watch: where tech and tradition meet

A combination of passion and craftsmanship turned the Tempo Apple Watch into a work of art. The company hired a team of highly skilled artisans, experts in the areas of hand engraving, stone-setting, plating and finishing.

The intricate hand engravings of the watch require over 30 hours of work, representing this form of art at its finest.

Features of the Tempo Apple Watch

The hand engraved designs feature on 24Kt gold. The Tempo Apple Watch also comes with a premium grade leather strap, gold deployment buckle and a luxury presentation box.

Currently, Legend’s customers include high profile clients such as Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Rolls Royce.

Legend had already made news thanks to its lineup of luxury iPhone 6 & Galaxy S6 edge. What makes this brand stand out is not merely the near perfection quality of its products, but also the fact that everything is completely handmade in Finland.

Luxury made in Finland

Finland! The country is famous for its saunas, ice skates, metal bands, and by its citizens as the homeland of Santa Claus, but perhaps very few know that the country generates some of the world’s best artisans.

Have you ever wondered where James Bond’s favourite seat and Jackie Kennedy’s Markimekko pattern come from? Finland is a true design nation. Some of the world’s most imitated and admired designers and architects come from Finland, and believe it or not the country has been setting trends for decades. According to Finland’s official travel site, private luxury tours are increasingly popular across the country.

Reinventing an old tradition, Legend is offering a luxury customisation option to its customers for a price of 3490 Euros (around 3900 US dollars), taxes and shipping included. If you love luxury, you’ll love the Tempo Apple Watch.
