These rules MUST be followed by all editors.
- Follow your schedule. All articles should be published according to the timetable. If you can’t submit your article – notify your supervisor in advance. In such a case, you should be provided with a blog post to publish.
- Make sure all articles are related to the general categories on the site.
- By the time you start publishing an article, it should be 2-3 hours old max and taken from press releases. Your writers should provide you with “Proof of time” (print screens with the release time).
- Check if the topic was chosen by someone else on contributor.clapway.com.
- Check the main keyword. It must be used in the title, the first paragraph and at least 3-4 times in the body of the post.
- Check the title. It must be catchy and 40 – 60 characters long. Check if similar title exists in Google – confirm uniqueness.
- Use word count tool: 350+ words.
- Check the content – the article must state the facts, and all the important information is generally covered in the first paragraph of the article.
- Make sure that there are no unique quotes in the article. Non-unique quotes are allowed to be used in every 3rd article.
- Use plagiarism tool – paperrater.com. Acceptable score 100% (if not using quotes) and 80% + (if using free for use quotes). Free for use quotes are allowed in every third article. It means that one writer is allowed to use quotes in one article out of three.
- Make sure that your writer used at least 2 contextual links in the article. No other links to publications or news sources!!! Writers must follow this format -> Ex. Nasa’s Rosetta mission (http://nasa.gov/rosettamission.hmtl)
- Tags. Make sure your writers submit 10 – 20 quality tags.
- Make sure your writers picked copyright free images for your post. CATCHY IMAGES. Format: clear picture (no tiny details), more emotions and faces, 694 x 350! Picture is not bigger than 100 kb, jpg format.
- Pick effective keywords using the keyword guideline.
- For every article, embed a related video from our site. Add a short description of the video in cursive under the video (short description).
- If there are any problems with the articles, send a personal email to your writers with directions on what they can improve.
