Rumors are circulating all over the internet regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7. Buzz says that it will be powered by a chip that makes it faster than all Apple devices and will not heat up.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Will Be Cheaper than the S6
One of the most popular rumors circulating is that the new S7 will be cheaper than its predecessor. This would be a very bold move on behalf of Samsung. There’s also word that some markets will get the Samsung Galaxy S7 featuring the Qualcomm 820, though it’s possible it features Samsung’s own line of chips, the Exynos 8890.
Chinese leaksters are saying that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Chip is also a possibility in regards to chipset for the phone. It’s also possible that Samsung is the only company to feature it. It’s possible that the chip will be supplied as of January 2016, but some regions will still have the Samsung Exynos 8809 chip. Other leaksters from Weibo are claiming that the phone will be optimized to be faster than the iPhone and feature a heat pipe to prevent overheating.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Rumored to Release February 21st
In addition to being 10% cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S6, leaksters have set February 21st as the phone’s date of release. They’ve claimed that Samsung is more focused on upgrading the hardware than the design overhaul of the device. As for the processors, it’s possible that China and the United States get access to the superfast Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, while all other regions get the Exynos 8890.
Samsung Will Likely Get A Massive Boost in Sales
There’s a rumor saying that the S7 will feature a microSD card slot, which was missing from the S6, and that it may feature a 20-megapixel camera to beat out all competition. It’ll supposedly come with a half-inch sensor. It’s very possible that an official release date and full list of specs is released at the Mobile World Congress, which will take place between February 22nd and February 25th, 2016.
