Russian soloist Vladimir Samsonov expressed outrage and offense to the fact that Facebook would offer users to use the French flag as their profile picture after the Paris attacks of November 13. His argument: this option, as well as the safety check tool, are ‘blasphemous against the Russians’, and Facebook prefers to support gays and Europeans to Russians and Arabs suffering around the world.

The 52-year old singer wrote that it was majorly offensive that Facebook did not offer the safety tool or support flag for the recent Russian tragedies, where the lives of many Russian men, women and children were lost. Nor does it support any other sexuality other than heterosexuality or homosexuality, though surely there’s more than heterosexuals and gays out there.
Samsonov also adds that Zuckerberg’s true reason for supporting France in favor of Lebanon, Afghanistan, Turkey and Russia is because of two things: the company would rather support the gays by offering the rainbow filter for profile pictures, and Europeans, as proven by the French flag filter. Surely Mark Zuckerberg likes gays in favor of Russian or Arab lives.
Zuckerberg Would Rather Support Gays: Twisted Logic With A Solid Point
Why, really, did Facebook not support Lebanon or Afghanistan? Was the count of dead too low? Why does it only raise awareness for gays and not other sexualities?
This brings many questions to mind, and it brings the question on whether or not the mainstream media worries for Muslim lives as they worry about the victims of ISIS’s thuggery. Mark Zuckerberg has since declared that the safety check tool will be much more widespread than it currently is, and that it will look to mark ‘safe’ as many people as it is necessary to bring peace to loved ones locally and abroad.
