Quantic Dream Announces Detroit: Become Human for PS4 - http://clapway.com/2015/10/27/quantic-dream-announces-detroit-become-human-for-ps4123/

Quantic Dream, notable for making the game ‘Heavy Rain’, made a lot of exciting announcements at Paris Game Week, including two games out of outstanding French developers.

Introducing Detroit: Become Human

Quantic Dream is a French developer that started out in 1997, based in Paris, France. With the success of 2010’s Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls which was less acclaimed, the company announced that both games would get remasters for the Playstation 4, though no release dates were attached to the reveal.

What they did do is introduce their new game, set in futuristic Detroit, and although it’s not clear why that city of all cities in the world, but at least the graphics look cool. It tells the story about Kara, an android that craves the human experience and denounces her own nature.

Developer David Cage announced Sony and Quantic Dream’s newest game, titled Detroit: Become Human. Though not initially planned to become a full-fledged game, Detroit: Become Human is based on a tech demo from 2012 called Kara.

The trailer takes viewers through the emotional story of Kara, an android convinced that she is more than an obedient machine. The game is awfully reminiscent of ExMachina in its repeated attempt to relate human emotion to a non-human character, and Kara’s story, no doubt, is one to discover the human in all man-made things.

Her quest is one to find what makes her different from the rest of the androids and more like the people around her, which is not an original concept, but is still compelling.

No release date has been announced for the game.

Michel Ancel Releases Demo for WiLD

Michel Ancel, French creator of the Rayman series and who may or may not still be working for Ubisoft, was also at the conference to unveil a demo of WiLD, which is being developed by Wild Sheep, an independent studio, was originally announced at Gamescom 2014, and for all that’s been revealed, we only know it involves a shaman in a stone age landscape. This Shaman’s main power is the one to possess animals, such as eagles, bears, rabbits and ravens, as well as talking to nature gods. The demo quest deals with finding a cure for a snakebite.

According to Ancel the game revolves around the relationship between men and nature, and to take players through how the wild works while riding around in a huge bear. Sign us up. There’s no release date set for this one either, though.
